I tried this recipe and they are awesome! The only thing I did differently is that I drained the pan at about an hour and put the wings back in the oven for a little more crispness.
What kind of seasoning again please? Garlic Powder, Pepper and what? Did you say seasoned salt? You seem to put a lot of it over the chicken, is that right?
Looks good, I will have to try this recipe. Did you say 400 for over 1 hour? Is that right or a little bit too long in the oven? Thanks. Great recipe.
@nemoryer Lawry's Season Salt, Garlic Powder and Pepper. Yes, I cover the entire chicken both sides with it and place in the oven 400 degrees for 1 hour or longer...until it is crispy brown. It depends on your oven, just keep checking the chicken after 1 hr.
My American grandmother tossed yellow mustard on the chicken before seasoning, but she opened the wings fully when seasoning them. She also used Lawry's as shown in the video along with garlic/onion powder and black pepper. She let it sit in the fridge a day or two before baking them. The funny thing is that you don't taste the mustard it makes the powder seasoning adhere to the chicken better and brings out the flavor of the seasonings..................yum!
Hi mtamorphis. Great recipe. Only thing I'd probably do different is cut off the wingtips and separate the flatwing from the drumstick. Thanks for the video!
Thats it? I think I can do that! You don't have to watch them every minute or turn them, or do that weird dance...I am sure that dance thing is just something my girl friend made up to make me look stupid. Ok I am going to try this friday night. Hey I know how to party :-)
*Drools...* That looks so damn good! My mama does her chicken like tht too. Heaven on a bone, I'm telling you! I loooove Tandoori chicken too, she does that really well too. You like that? Even I can make it now =] Easy peasy. ..I'm in love with chicken.. I eat so much of it I should be one by now.
Hahaha...so your Mom cooks it the same way? This is what I grew up on, my parents always baked...never fried. You know I have never had Tandoori chicken, can you send me the recipe...I want to try it. Thanks! ;)
LOL @ Martha Stewart!! You know I used to love KFC, but it just doesn't taste the same anymore...I think it started when they combined the franchise with Captain D's.
mmmm i think i am gonna have some chicken for lunch. i dont usually cook stuff like this but gawd that looked good.. bet its great for small get togethers. but ya know when it comes to cooking i am dumb... what was the red powder looking seasonings ya put on there?
Is there any other kind of "season salt" gal? LOL Now of course I have to try this recipe since I had the flour/pancake mix debacle with my chicken. I just got my "big mama" points back from the National Headquarters. Man they don't play. 5/5 stars and now I'm hungry!
LOL!! Nope, Lawry's is it! Oooh, if you try this recipe, they are gonna give you more than "big mama" points...just the smell alone will make them keep coming back asking..."Is It Done YET?! LOL ;)
Hey mta, since you're on the health tip, two suggestions: use organic chicken and use coconut oil instead of vegetable oil. Those two things will make a world of difference. But yeah, that looks really good ;=P.
Organic Chicken?? Never even thought about that, I will have to try that...now if the coconut oil taste like coconut, can't do that. Me and coconut don't mix! LOL!!
Not at all, it has a mild flavor at best, I can actually consume it by the tablespoon, imagine doing that with sunflower or vegetable oil. It's a lot healthier, doesn't contribute to your omega-6s which cause inflammation, and you really can't taste it at all. I use it for my scrambled eggs and blueberry-honey-chocolate smoothies. Just try it at least...
Okay, that sounds like I might be able to handle that...I will definetly try it on a few pieces next time I make it! Thanks for the heads up...Oh BTW, the blueberry-honey-chocolate smoothies, sounds yummmy! ;)
I don't eat much meat or poultry but have to try this! What kind of chicken is that??? Tthanks

Mbejines 2 years ago
