They thought about every little detail , and managed to get a cool , sharp and smoth sounding pop sound (most pop sounds corny). It had alot more power than R&B, yet so much more detail and finetuning than rock music. It was a great combination of things...Those guys current music kinda sux
. Does anyone know more details about his death? They said he died from cancer, but he seemed fine a few weeks before in another video recording? was it known that he was sick?
I wonder why did they use Euphonix desk instead of standard SSL. Euphonix is clean sounding compared to SSL which adds punch and color to many hit records.
Cheiron anyway somhow managed to have that punch by using probably outboard comp. Why didn't they shorten path and mix thru SSL and its famous punchy bus compressor?
@adriatic111 Yes, you can get punchy sounds with various outboards. My guess is that the Euphonix had better automation and recall which is more attractive when having different teams working with multiple projects. -Or perhaps Denniz just prefered the CS3000's colors... :-)
I have a question for all that are watching this video. If I were to request this cheiron sound for a record, would my request be fulfilled? Or would I be given a sound that's less that what I'm aiming at? If so, which producers would make me that sound?
I have a question for ya. Would I still have that cheiron sound if I request to have a song written with that sound? I'm an aspiring bubblegum teen-pop/ RnB singer from the US wanting to form a group. The cheiron sound what I'm aiming at releasing if I achieve my dream of being a singer. The usa needs some innocence after being buried under all this misogyny.
This one is from fall/winter 1998, cause the backstreet boys were in sweden for 2 weeks in november 1998 to record, there along, the track, dont want you back as you can hear!
How do you know that much detail? They had sessions in Sweden in October 1998 and then they were recording from noon to midnight from early November to November 14, 1998. You are right, because the song Here I Go Again was released in early November 1998, which means this is October 1998. They did record again at Cheiron in January 1999.
A fantastic DJ, producer & songwriter, but first and foremost a WONDERFUL person! We still miss you, Dagge...
