  • At 1:17, Tom almost does Angus' (AC/DC) dance

  • QUE HOMBRE TAN BUENISIMO... Y TAMBIÉN ME GUSTA ESTA VERSION

  • I rathe better the The White Stripes (the The... it sound kinda gay) version, but this was mother fucking awesome, anyway I like more Audioslave than The White Stripes, but both bands are awesome, it's a shame that both of them do not play anymore ):

  • Original is much better.

  • @TheStudioSEB not really, cornell's vocals are more to my taste than jack's

  • @romaggot Your opinion.

  • this makes my sweat drip out of ever mother fucking pour

  • I'll be honest. I like Audioslave but I didn't like this

  • man, the things people find funny...

  • I,m picturing Chris naked...mmmmmmmmm...

  • pum pumpumm pumpumpum

  • i think the drummer was lost when he was setting up his kit...

  • @whateverlikehell go away

  • @whateverlikehell go away

  • @whateverlikehell LOL just the mental thoughts of what was going through his head while setting up his kit. YEAAAAAAH I'll be able to see the whole crowd from here. Or maybe he was in trouble and that was his punishment.

  • I just want to lick his body...

  • The main difference between Jack White and Tom Morello is that one is insane with a whammy pedal and the other ones name is Tom.

  • Good cover

  • FUck. I NEED to work out more! :(

  • shit...this video is from 2005. one of the earliest vids I've seen on the tube

  • I reall like Rage and Soundgarden... Audioslave is ok... but no one sings this like Jack.

  • Comment removed

  • @Blackaljackal I'm talking about Jack White, of The White Stripes, who originally did Seven Nation Army.

  • THAT BOBBY FISHER

  • I wonder what the magic is in this song?

  • o cara manda tudo simplesmente muito bem, isso é nascer com o dom!

  • 3:33 Jesus anyone?

  • Bass player looks bored as hell.

  • @MansonFan64 dont they all

  • @DesecratedReaper Not really. I jump around and rock out when I'm playing my bass...even to this song.

  • @MansonFan64 he should pick up a tambourine then

  • tom morello makes the guitar his bitch

  • crap, he's ridiculous

  • my. god.

chris cornell is hot. the voice and everything!

  • isn't it a stretch to call this a great song

  • 0:30 HeY WhItE StRiPeS! Yeah no dip sherlock! XD

  • the only thing i don't like about this cover is the fact that the drummer doesn't have tits.

  • @fckmonkey88

so great.. thinking about giving u a thump up every day! ;)

  • This clip is the only reason that I believe Chris Cornell used to be a Grunge Rocker.

  • Yo, drummer! You're facing the wrong way, brah.

  • @fathergloom he has stage fright

  • thats fucking horrible

  • @wiljam12345 totally sucks, whole band playing and sounds like shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mike1968442 you gotta be kidding dude...this is an alternative version of a great song...

  • synyster gates tom morello carlos santana and slash need to do a strings tribute album

  • Destroyed the song

  • Flaming Lips did a better cover than this...

  • @ladyintheradiator187 I dig the Flaming Lips, but I didn't really dig their cover. This one's okay, but I think the White Stripes original is hard to beat, even as simplistic as it is.

  • SUCK

  • @GuitarfreakPro93 you mean sick

  • @einavzash even if he farts it'll sound like the national anthem

  • How to destroy a perfect song...

  • are you kidding?

the white stripes are a fine band, but lame in a live act

  • @gabbythc Chris Cornell can't ruin anything.

  • @einavzash he's trying

  • @einavzash chris cornell can ruin everything

  • @einavzash he ruined audioslave by going away to make his solo album

  • @einavzash I love Chris Cornell, but I got to admit that he fuck'd up Killing in the name...

This is a great cover tho.

  • i wish the solo was longer cuz its sooooo epic

  • I think Brad is facing away because of the acoustic on the place woud be too annoying on this song. Drum on this particular song is very important

  • @rezos666 It has nothing to do with the acoustic. Sometimes he did that with RATM back in the day. Lets' say it's a kind of statement.

  • Comment removed

  • seriously....why is Brad facing away from the crowd? WTF?

  • pretty nice cover, although i can't help but feel his voice isn't right for it. it might just be a case of the"change is always bad"s.

  • Super bueno!!!

  • wow, chris is ripped! ;)

  • to be totally honest the only reason most people watch this is bc tom morello.

  • @norecess10 Yes, not because of one of the greatest vocalist to come out of the grunge era, Chris Cornell. Fuck that guy and his amazing voice.

  • @degjo yea pretty much. everyone knows the best vocalists of the grunge era was mark arm from mudhoney

chris cornell is from the alternative era get it right

  • at some point a few years ago brad decided he wanted to be facing the same direction as the crowd. then he brought in the mirror so he could still see the crowd while playing. now hew back to facing the traditional direction

  • The Flaming Lips cover of Sevan Nation Army on Youtube is much better.

  • @MKIIITrbo89 SHHHHH!!!

  • "Hey, it's the White Stripes!"

  • "Rage Against the Machine at Iguanas ... the drummer, Brad, wasn't even facing the audience. He was actually facing the back of the stage. I was looking at it going, "That looks so stupid!" That's what I thought for the first 10 seconds, then all of a sudden I'm going, "Oh my God, it's the coolest thing in the world!" Because you never get to see how much work a drummer actually has to do until you turn the thing around and you see his legs and his arms and everything going at the same time ..."

  • oh why oh why couldnt the camera have stayed on Chris lol.......YUM!

  • Why does he sound like Kermit the frog?

  • @BIGIFANDYELLOWCARD because he just spent an hour and a half screaming.

  • not as good as the original by white stripes , but this is pretty good for a remake!

  • Look at Tom... Hes So Beastly...

  • @Metallikatzz Brilliant bastard!

  • av Audioslave.....pas mal

  • I don't care how simple they say this song is, it's epic live and otherwise.

  • cool

  • Tom Morello nails it like he does every single time

  • impressive shoulderstrap on that bassplayer...

  • EPIC SOLO

  • @dansterwerecool bullshit that sounds god awful

  • audioslave man.... no matter what they play they'll always rock... too bad they stopped... btw does anyone know if soundgarden is still playing??

  • @777677467767469 - I just heard that Soundgarden wants to tour and maybe record, but that Matt Cameron is drumming for Pearl Jam at the moment so things are unsure. If you hear otherwise let me know.

  • Seven Nation Army is only done by one band and one band only. You can add all kinds of different distortions and what not but a singer is what makes the song the song especially when the original band is only two members. Actually speaking of this, I would like to see jack white and tom morello square off. they both are great and very original, creative artist. But just remember the song remember by hendrix he started all this sh*****T

  • Also there´s no "second guitar", that´s Tommy Morello´s reflection on Wilk´s drumset mirrors

  • OFC it´s different, what´s the point in doing an exact cover of any song? Get a great tune to use as base, then add your personal touch to it! Part of the charm of the White Stripes is its minimalistic rythm base, but that doesn´t make a "fuller" version automatically bad.

  • He sounds like the guy who announces a Japanese sumo fight.

  • ruined the song, sry audioslave the vocal tones and the second guitar just don't fit

  • Chris is fuckin ripped!

  • This is a sick cover. Its done by a "full" band and the white stripes still pull it off better. So this proves you don't need a bass to pull of a great song.

  • I didn't like this video. but I do like audioslave.

  • wow white stripe's put's audioslave's version in the dust.

  • Well done cover, but the original or the more powerful cover of Duncan Winterbourne rocks far more than this one....

  • blows "white stripes"away...of course

  • Of course you are gay.

  • care to explain WHY the drummer is facing AWAY from the crowd?

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX audioslave as you already know it a band from the members of RATM and Soundgarden...The drummer is Brad Wilk from RATM...He always does that in lives...it's his style since RATM :):)

  • @karapas86 why though?

  • @hattrickster33 he likes to faces where the audience face :):):)

and he's got mirrors in front of him so he can watch the audience as well :)))

  • @karapas86 lol thats pretty sweet...Lars Ulrich from metallica should do that

  • Too bad lars sucks lol.

  • nah hes rly overrated tho just cuz he's in metallica but he's not bad

  • Comment removed

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX style...something different.

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX clearly hes shy

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX Same reason Maynard from Tool does it.

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX so they can look at his back duh no I'm just screwing with ya i have no clue. =)

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX

he's said in interviews that he likes to get a different perspective when he plays. he did it in 'rage against the machine' also.

  • Comment removed

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX They invented these things - I think they called them mirrors. It allows people to see the opposite of what's looking into it (same as you the way see the back of Tom Morello). Either that or it's Voodoo magic

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX brad decided a few years ago that he wanted to be facing the same direction as the audience. he now prefers to do this with mirrors so he can see the crowd

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX he's in time out, not allowed to interact with anyone

  • Comment removed

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX god damn roadies these days.... hahahaha just playing... i don't know why he is facing the wrong way! Their ROCKSTARS!!! THEY DON'T CAR!

  • @dued27 i think its some kind of mirror, you can see toms reflection

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX

    Mirror :)

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX

i'cause he always is scared of the croud, he do the same when rage against the machine have concerts!!!! funny don't?

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX I've figured it out. That's a mirror. You can see tom to the side.

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX

Seen this at least once before - Rage against the Machine did it at Donington, I think. He had the mirror so he can see everything else. Still odd though 8-)

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX its a mirror.... thats why u can see morellos back too ...

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX thier probably in the center of a stadium so thier faceing every one

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX

Sometimes its to face the audience, but you also get a better view of what the drummer is doing when you look at the drums from the back. For solos and fills.

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX cuz is a snake nest escenary...

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX xq es muy feo

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX cuz there's a mirror in the back

  • @XxpunkrockcityxX he's shy.

  • the white stripes do it so much better

  • on the studio version.. but it hink live this one is better, cos with a bassist it gives the solo so much more feel

  • Cornell shouldnt have made his solo cd...it wasnt tht good

  • @mvhockey16

yea i thought he should have stayed with audioslave too. but i mean you gotta move forward. and they werent.

and he had that song you know my name. that was in casino royal and that song is fuckin awesome.

  • @mvhockey16 : he's made more than one. I only have the first one and found it to be nothing short of amazing!

  • There is a myth to the term selling out. I think the only people that use the term are like 10-20 yr olds, and maybe a few retarded burnouts. Everyone changes. No one can stay with the same three chrds forever, and no one who is wise will ever pass up a record contract or a chance to work with another great artist. So spare us this nonsense.

  • @alteredlame666 yeah but sometimes they "change" to shit

  • @alteredlame666 well making music is about money when it boils down to it but these guys have more money than they will ever need record contract/crossover is all good but if they are selling any product other than their music/memorabilia they are not artists

  • @alteredlame666

I applaud your Super Saiyan comment.

  • @alteredlame666

So, in your world, something as a sellout is never possible, under no circumstances?

  • @Puschit1 How about producing the same album over and over gain, because its a winning formula to your fan-base? That selling out? Can you tell me what it actually means to sell out? I don't think so. I think making albums strictly for your base, without ever expanding on your inherent artistry, is selling out. You don't know what goes on with an artists heart behind closed doors. Stop acting like its a worthy judgment, it's frivolous.

  • @alteredlame666

Of course it's possible and of course I can never tell for sure. But you make it sound as if selling out is not possible at all. Just wanted to hear if you really think like that or not. But you dodged my question.

  • @Puschit1 There was an answer in my retort. That is to say, it's hard to know. So who is anyone to play judge? If these musicians promised that they were going to rock hard forever, or, indeed, promised anything at all, that'd be one thing. I am sure it does happen, I just don't give a fuck as long as the music is good. Artists aren't going to starve on anyone's behalf, especially if they've made classics before, and if they make something more glossy, I decline that thats selling out.

  • @alteredlame666

As much as I agree to some extent you can make clear cases for artists and bands becoming quite redundant and churning out music just for the sake of it. You dont think there is such a thing as creative integrity? Off the top of my head a great example is comparing John Lennon to Paul McCartney, I think the difference is quite clear. Mike Patton is another good example, a great talent who has totally shunned the mainstream success, few probably have the mind to do that though.

  • @alteredlame666 dude that is selling out, maybe u missed the memo, but thats what rock is all about, its not about the money its about the message, in truth chris probably has the best voice in rock in this generation, to me he's just as great as robert plant, and thats why ppl are so pissed off, coz so many ppl look up to him and he walked away to collaborate with a hip hop artist. people are always gonna be passionate about those they look up to, so u cant blame them for being angry

  • @88Soullost No artist is bound to three chords and one style. Especially a vocalist who writes his own songs. He is not just going to write one style or be one thing, that is the natural evolution of an artist - to branch out, to change. Maybe you missed the memo on what it means to be an artist.

  • @alteredlame666 throughout time many rockstars went solo, ozzy did it and he was the most successful, but the difference is he didnt change his style, the same with serj tankian, but chris decided to collaborate with a hip hop artist, and why?.. because hip hop is the biggest industry right now, thats where the real money is, its got nothin to do with being an independent creative artist, coz his fans would have supported him if went solo without a timberland influence, he jus wanted more money

  • @alteredlame666and anyway its not like he didnt have the vast amounts of creative freedom at audioslave and soundgarden, coz all you see on the song details is "written by christopher cornell", he loved taking credited, and in the end he jus got too greedy.. rock means something to ppl.. its an escape to rejects like me who feel like outcasts, and chris decided to team up with the industry that makes ppl like me feel like outcasts

so thats why we call him a sellout... coz he sold us out

  • @88Soullost Wat r u? lke 10? coz dats th way ppl who r 10 years old spel on th intrnet.

If you ever want anybody to take you seriously then fucking learn how to spell properly. People like you make me sick.

  • @HEROofTIME1337 o_o... ok................... i didn't realize there would be someone this bored and frustrated with their pathetic life that they would check the spelling and typing errors i made in my comments.. you need a life or something dude... seriously go get some help, this is kinda sad.. people like you need to get laid

  • @88Soullost

yeah but see how much you can spell when 'u put in t3h xtra 5 min-nuts 2'

actually type properly so that someone can easily understand what you wrote?

  • @seventhlight sigh..... look you only get 500 characters to type a comment, if you exceed that amount then have no choice but to abbreviate.. I'm sorry if you needed a team to decipher it.. next time I'll be sure to make it easy for people like you ok..

  • @88Soullost its even sadder when you care about shitty coments like i am right now and like you just did

  • So the point we're gonna focus on, instead of Cornell being an awesome vocalist, is that he's a "sell out". Okay?

I'd love to hear everyone's music who decides to stress the sell-out factor. True artists experiment with different styles...the fact that he knew people would probably talk shit but didn't care because he wanted to try something different is admirable. He didn't care about what everyone would think. & he is insanely talented. Why focus on the negative? Focus on the "awesome" part.

  • @knottednape dude cornell is one of the most talented vocalist rock has. And he was part of two legendary bands. He didnt try anything knew. Hes just a glamour girl now. Hes to pretty. He isnt rock n roll anymore.

  • i like the way they did the song, i prefer the white stripes solo but their drummer blows, audioslave improved the drums greatly and the vocals

  • Fuck, Cornell is a god.

  • everyone is a sellout. Were human beings.. not perfect. only the very most powerful people dont succumb to money.

  • the song with criss cornell sucks, is better the original with Jack White sings a lot better given his unique touch.... peace and love...

  • why is Brad not facing the audience

  • He often plays that way live. Used to do it with RATM too.

  • he is but theres a mirror in the back so it looks like hes backwards

  • i swear there isnt
