Amazing! Thank you for posting this inspirational waterbirth. I will watch it every day for the rest of my pregnancy to prepare for my own awesome birthing experience. I wish more people would realise how peaceful and easy birth can be.
aside from preparing yourself and your birthpartner, do you need specially trained midwives and specially suited hospitals? or will any hospital facilitating water birth do ans respect your wis to have a silent, peaceful birth?
This is the most amazing birth... Me and my husband aren't pregnant yet but I can't wait to have a child. When I do I hope to welcome him/her into the world the same way. Beautiful, calm & natural. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS VIDEO!!! thank you for sharing it!
Did you attended Hypnobirthing classes? I wish I could have some Hypnobirthing classes, but it is just too expensive for me, I can't afford that. Do you think I can learn the the techniques just by reading the book, listening to the CD and practicing at home? Or trying to learn all by myself is a waste of money?
@Deafbc I think you can do it by yourself. I have attended classes which I would highly recommend but more for my birth partner who can make or brake your birth. So make sure they are just as educated as you. I have some stuff I can send you but I am not sure how that works with emails and stuff on this site. Not very tech savy.
When I first read about Hypnobirthing I thought like, oh yea, they're crazy, birth not hurting? What a shit, that's impossible... But then I went on reading and it sounded so.. naturally... And then I saw your birth and several more and I really hope I can do that to (or afford these lessons :/ why is that so expensive).. I'd wish to have such a nice birth.
This was one of three birth videos I watched on Youtube to prepare for the birth of my son using HypnoBirthing. This one in particular gave me the confidence to know that it was indeed possible to have a calm and comfortable birth using what I had learnt. I had the most amazing birth and just wanted to say thank you for posting!
@carynb I don't know what it's like to have a baby but I can definitely sympathize with you. A (former) friend told me she never wants to have a baby because she doesn't want to go through that kind of pain. I was like "shoot, it's not like I can blame you." Anyway, if you need some supportive friends while you're dealing with this here I am. Otherwise, I sure wish you the smoothest delivery possible. : )
I would want a birth like that, calm and relaxed, I am just not too keen about the idea that a thing the size of a watermelon is coming out of a hole that is lemon sized. It's a little scary for me. I think your birth was beautiful. How were you managing your pain? Were you feeling anything?
We're expecting our first, we've already decided on a home waterbirth, and after witnessing my sisters Hypnobirth (and this one!) I really want to do it, I hope I can allow my body to push rather than forcing it though...
I'm expecting my first baby in just a few days and will be using HypnoBirthing techniques to manage it. I have been watching this birth for inspiration! Stunningly beautiful birth, baby and mama! Thanks for sharing!
this is my favourite hypnobirthing video, and i hope you don't mind if i post a link to it from my site. i'm now trained as a practitioner and this is the best example i've seen so far, especially as your midwife did everything perfectly, such as waiting for the cord to stop pulsating. (glad she didn't let dad cut above the clamp though!)
congratulations on a true demonstration of how birthing should be- you're a beacon!
well dont mom and dad, i think this is how i want to have my baby, i wonder if my husbend well get in the water with me, i thought that was so sweet of him
Truly amazing. I have had a fear of giving birth for many many years, but this has put my mind at ease. I have chosen to have a waterbirth and intend on starting hypnobirthing as soon as possible. Thank you for sharing such an amazing video, that will not only show how it 'should be done' but give women like me the hope that we can do it too! ;o) xx
This video keeps me so positive about my birth ahead. I love not only how calm and relaxed everyone was, but how dignified the mother remains. Thank you so much for sharing!

whats he smerking about? Id like to see him birth through his pecker hole. I would smerk about that. Men are such douche bags...there not worth it...when will women realize that. You think he will love you more now...probably love you less.
on one episode of Little People Big world amy talks Jeremy about not letting his girlfriend in his room or something. What episode was that?.. By the way Roloff's love your show a lot.
That was amazing I'm having a hypno/water birth in november with my first child and watching that gave me confermation what I'm doing is good!! Thanks so much
When you say you've been in labor for 2 hours & 45 min. is that from the time your water breaks until the baby comes? or it from the time you felt the begining of the strong contractions until the baby came?
2hr and 45 min was when the strong rhythmic contractions happened to the time of birth, which would be considered true labor. When my water broke, I didn't have consistent or strong contractions until a few hours later.

My goodness, a birth where people aren't yelling at her to "Push!!!"?? I'm already 36 and haven't found that right man yet. I can just see people, particularly family members, saying stuff like "you're considered high risk. It's not a good idea..." Tell me a woman of any age can have a baby like this!
Oh by the way, I favorited this. I don't want to forget it!
It's best to ignore or avoid people who will tell you negative things about birth. Even if you don't believe it, it will still stay with you and affect you.
@nocturne1980 Man, I'm 37 and never had a first! Someone told me though that the older women had "higher risk" because they'd already had several children and that it wouldn't be the same for someone older who has her first. But first I need a husband. Lol Guess God feels I need to graduate from college first.
@Lavenderrose73 You CAN have a hypnobirth and be completely relaxed and peaceful! Get the book Hypnobirthing by Marie Mongan. Any woman, can have a wonderful birth if she works for it and trusts her body! What this woman is doing is based on birthing in a state of deep relaxation. There is no age limit to relaxation.
I'm taking Hypnobirthing classes and they are awesome. Plus, the techniques of relaxation and breathing I am learning will help me in other parts of my life
@emeraldmorn Oh YOU'RE pregnant? That's cool, I had another friend I met on one of these videos (mutual commenter) who I connected with messenger and we were chatting weeks later when she was in labor. She didn't carry on or anything, just said "ok I'm having more contractions..." and the next day she told me she was only in pain the last few minutes and that's because... I think the baby was mispositioned or something. I'd love to hear of your own progress. I'll look into that book...
@emeraldmorn I am no longer certain I'll even meet the right man, let alone get married and have any children. BUT my best friend is serious with someone and I'll want to buy it for her. I've already told her about this kind of stuff and her man seems to support everything she wants to do. And I'll probably want to read it first, after all, just because I don't think I'll ever get married by now doesn't mean I can see around the next corner.
I had my baby this way - after finding this video I used it as inspiration - I was 36 when I had a peaceful and pain free birth :) Yes, you can...but you wil need to exclude all those that add "noise" to your experience.
@monicaprivate Oh I think that totally rocks that some women have managed to have a baby without pain and didn't need pain killers! Heck I'm 38 now, and I've stopped worrying about even having children. But my best friend Courtney has, I believe, found her soul mate and I've told her about this. I said "I wouldn't preach at other women how they should have their babies especially since I've never had my own, but if I have found out from others it can be much easier, I'll want to share that!
@Lavenderrose73 36? You're a spring chicken! I know loads of women who chose to have their first baby at 40. And waterbirths with deep hypnosis are definitely the way to go if you want to have a peaceful birth experience on your terms.
@butterfacegirl Yeah, when my best friend had a boyfriend and we both thought he was "the one" I was telling her about this kind of stuff while saying "I never had a child and would never tell you how to have one, but if there's a better way, I at least want you to know about it." Well, if I'm ever meant to marry and have a child, I will definitely keep this in mind and seek friends online who would support me. If not, Jesus has other plans for me and as long as He's part of them, I'm at peace.
it really is a whole different view over natural birth. we´re so used to hearing about such painful and hard experiences and watching this waterbirth gave me a new perspective. Thank you very much for sharing it :)
Amazing video, thank you so much. My doctor is not pleased with my hypnobirthing decision, although she knows nothing about it...this video has helped me lift my spirits back up and focus on what we were designed to do.
Your narrow-minded doctor can take a hike! I hope your hypnobirthing will go or did go smoothly. May you be surrounded by many, many people who will stand up for you on this.
my husband said that part of the time, his leg fell asleep, and at one point, he thought how i moaned was funny, so he was trying not to laugh, but for the most part, he said he was fine and he's straight forward, but thanks for your concern
OMG.... this was fab... reminded me of my 2nd birth with my Daughter... the Hypno/Water Birth is just the best thing a mother and her baby (and partner) can do..
I live in Mexico and I am preparing for my second homebirth using the Hypnobirthing Mongan Method, this time in the water. There is not much knowledge about hypnobirthing neither about home water birthing in the city where I live. I was very excited to find your video and be able to see with your experience what I am looking for my own birthing. I still have some questions and would like to ask if there would be a way to contact you and/or your midwife-doula for some orientation. Thanks!
Gracias bye
I am training to be a practitioner since I did hypnobirth breathing for my baby's birth. this is such a good video to show how calm and relaxed we can be in labour if we are able to put the fear aside. Well done. Lovely birth, beautiful baby, excellent video testimonial.
beautiful thank you so much! it was amazing. I am planning a home birth, not water, but you have shown me just what our amazing feminine bodies can do! Thank you for sharing
This video is amazing! I am forwarding the url to my hypnobirthing insturctor so she can forward that to Mickey!!! I had a hypno-water birth with our daughter and it was a wonderful experience (all 29 hrs. of it) God Bless you and your family!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience. I am planning a hypnobirth (currently 30 weeks) and watching this renewed my excitement and enthusiasm so much. Thank you :-)
I don't think seeing a birth has ever made me want to cry... except this one. Congratulations on your new addition. What a beautiful experience to share with your husband. I hope I am as lucky to have my future husband in there with me as well.
Thank you all for your kindness,I can't take any credit because I just did what I was told to do by my hypnobirthing instructer Jaci & my midwife,Samantha the owner of Baby Love birth center. They are both great human beings that created an environment of respect & empowerment. When they taught me how to prepare & take care myself,& were also catering to what I wanted,I couldn't help but be relaxed. If you are inspired by my birth, please contact or refer mothers to Samantha, you won't regret it.
thanks for sharing! I also used hypnobirthing the mongan method and had a home waterbirth. it was so amazing and i will use the two again for sure. the hypnobirthing also helped me to be calm and rest as labor began, as well as relax during breastfeeding. i encourage other pregnant women to look into both!
My wife hypnobirthed our first child out into an inflatable birthing pool in our front room. She was the same as this. One thing we had different was that our NHS provided midwives didn't think to bring an underwater noise thing so she had to stand up every time they needed to listen to the heartbeat. Honestly... oh and another of them had a mobile ring tone that was of a freight train going through a tunnel. I ask ya?
I think that is the most relaxed mom giving birth I have ever seen. No screaming, just a little, OHAHAOH, and them the heads out. I mean, really. I might try this for my birthing when I have a kid
I have been moved to tears. As a HypnoBirthing practitioner, I have to say that your video was one of the best examples of birth I have ever seen. I used HypnoBirthing to have an awesome first birth but I am now inspired to combine it with a waterbirth next time. Thank you for sharing with us all.
Congrats on the birth of your beautiful baby girl! You made that look so easy...thanx for the post. I too am contemplating going to Baby Love Birth Center.
The baby seems to really respond to having the cord cut. I know it is not supposed to "hurt" but the baby clearly is unhappy about the separation. I will pay more attention to this procedure from now on to see if the baby can soemhow "feel" the loss of it's most vital organ, the placenta which seems to be way under appreciated until now.
What's probably more likely than the baby 'feeling' the cord being cut, is that the baby is cold because they had to temporarily pull her away from her mother's body. Newborn infants really need to be against the mother's body to help maintain body heat when first born. ^_^
Why is it so hard to believe baby is reacting to be disturbed & separated from his mother? Crying started suddenly with clamping of cord. Does not appear to be anything to do with temperature - baby has been against mother & also covered.
He is clearly responding to the intervention. Bottom line is there's no reason to clamp cord before placenta is birthed & mother knows and decides it is time for her & baby to make this monumental separation. It's best if baby is still attached to cord when she or he attaches to breast and transitions in his/her own timing, not caregiver's. Why not ask mother, or wait for her? These moments are for bonding and reattachment -- for their lifetime. Why not talk to baby explaining what & why?
I wouldn't do anything to hurt my daughter on purpose.I just figured Gabby was crying because she was rushed out of the water literally right after she came out & as far as she can see, someone was fiddling with her belly & wanted to relax in my arms.
It is going to be a year this thursday, I had my babe in the old location right before they moved.
Whoever reads this, if you, or a woman you know is going to have a baby please find out more about waterbirth and hypnobirthing, for the sake of whatever is holly!
Any healthy woman with a healthy pregnancy can do it! And in some of the birth centers it is half as much expensive as in the hospital!
I relived my experience with this vid. THANKS SO MUCH FOR POSTING IN IT!!!!!
It was a grat birth!!! just that I would like to have some info about this type of method to give birth. I'm having my 2nd. baby... and my first was at a hospital, and honestly I didn't like it because I never felt like free to move or to do what my body wanted, so.. this is why I would like to know more about this method... please send me info... thank you very much!!
and mom congrats... you really did a great job ~!!!!
wow that was great! what a supportive husband and how he stayed by her side the whole time holding her! she looked really calm and relaxed the whole time.
He is awesome, having my husband there with me was an added bonus. I don't know necessarily if other moms prefer their husbands there with them, but it helped me relax because he was also encouraging me while he was in there.
It was so sweet of the husband to get in with her and hold her. It must have made her feel very safe and supported. I wish all men were that caring. Most wouldn't even stick their arms in the water since their would be amniotic fluid and stuff in there.
I was so blessed my husband was there with me. This was our second birth together, and to be honest, I didn't think he would've and didn't even ask him to be in the tub with me for our first child, but he offered both times. He is a wonderful person. Thank you for your kind words, I'll let him know his kindness was appreciated.

Not all babies can or should be born like that! Not all mothers can even deliver there baby from vaginal birth! Some can't even afford it. Otherwise though, nice video.
In order to have the baby this way you are right you need to have a healthy pregnancy and really believe in natural child birth! but as far as being able to afford it, this place takes all kind of mediciad, insurance, you name it they take it even easy payment plans! Believe me I know LOL! I would never be able to afford it if they were not so flexible!
Hi! You had a beautiful birthing. I did hypno-birthing with my second child and it was awesome. I am pregnant now my due date is July 30 and I'm doing hypnobirthing with this baby. I couldn't believe how relaxing and easy birth can be doing it this way. I am lookin forward giving birth in a few days. Thanks 4 sharing your beautiful video. AGAIN, GREAT JOB MOMMY!!!!
Do these take place in the ocean? What if a shark eats the baby or the baby swims away? Seems like a risk.

Lavenderrose73 1 year ago
@emeraldmorn I am no longer certain I'll even meet the right man, let alone get married and have any children. BUT my best friend is serious with someone and I'll want to buy it for her. I've already told her about this kind of stuff and her man seems to support everything she wants to do. And I'll probably want to read it first, after all, just because I don't think I'll ever get married by now doesn't mean I can see around the next corner.

@Lavenderrose73
I had my baby this way - after finding this video I used it as inspiration - I was 36 when I had a peaceful and pain free birth :) Yes, you can...but you wil need to exclude all those that add "noise" to your experience.
monicaprivate 9 months ago
@monicaprivate Oh I think that totally rocks that some women have managed to have a baby without pain and didn't need pain killers! Heck I'm 38 now, and I've stopped worrying about even having children. But my best friend Courtney has, I believe, found her soul mate and I've told her about this. I said "I wouldn't preach at other women how they should have their babies especially since I've never had my own, but if I have found out from others it can be much easier, I'll want to share that!
Lavenderrose73 9 months ago
@Lavenderrose73 36? You're a spring chicken! I know loads of women who chose to have their first baby at 40. And waterbirths with deep hypnosis are definitely the way to go if you want to have a peaceful birth experience on your terms.
butterfacegirl 3 months ago
@butterfacegirl Yeah, when my best friend had a boyfriend and we both thought he was "the one" I was telling her about this kind of stuff while saying "I never had a child and would never tell you how to have one, but if there's a better way, I at least want you to know about it." Well, if I'm ever meant to marry and have a child, I will definitely keep this in mind and seek friends online who would support me. If not, Jesus has other plans for me and as long as He's part of them, I'm at peace.

wow this video is just so amazing. BEAUTIFUL!
it really is a whole different view over natural birth. we´re so used to hearing about such painful and hard experiences and watching this waterbirth gave me a new perspective.

Thanks!

I am training to be a practitioner since I did hypnobirth breathing for my baby's birth. this is such a good video to show how calm and relaxed we can be in labour if we are able to put the fear aside. Well done. Lovely birth, beautiful baby, excellent video testimonial.

I don't think seeing a birth has ever made me want to cry... except this one. Congratulations on your new addition. What a beautiful experience to share with your husband. I hope I am as lucky to have my future husband in there with me as well.
Many blessings to your family!

LynnReed7 3 years ago
What's probably more likely than the baby 'feeling' the cord being cut, is that the baby is cold because they had to temporarily pull her away from her mother's body. Newborn infants really need to be against the mother's body to help maintain body heat when first born. ^_^
RogueWyndwalker 3 years ago
Why is it so hard to believe baby is reacting to be disturbed & separated from his mother? Crying started suddenly with clamping of cord. Does not appear to be anything to do with temperature - baby has been against mother & also covered.
BabyKeeper1 3 years ago
He is clearly responding to the intervention. Bottom line is there's no reason to clamp cord before placenta is birthed & mother knows and decides it is time for her & baby to make this monumental separation. It's best if baby is still attached to cord when she or he attaches to breast and transitions in his/her own timing, not caregiver's. Why not ask mother, or wait for her? These moments are for bonding and reattachment -- for their lifetime. Why not talk to baby explaining what & why?
BabyKeeper1 3 years ago

Dorene1960 3 years ago 15
I was so blessed my husband was there with me. This was our second birth together, and to be honest, I didn't think he would've and didn't even ask him to be in the tub with me for our first child, but he offered both times. He is a wonderful person. Thank you for your kind words, I'll let him know his kindness was appreciated.

This is how all babies should be born. I too am a HypnoBirthing mom wish that all moms had the information that we have!

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Not all babies can or should be born like that! Not all mothers can even deliver there baby from vaginal birth! Some can't even afford it. Otherwise though, nice video.
Xauby 3 years ago
In order to have the baby this way you are right you need to have a healthy pregnancy and really believe in natural child birth! but as far as being able to afford it, this place takes all kind of mediciad, insurance, you name it they take it even easy payment plans! Believe me I know LOL! I would never be able to afford it if they were not so flexible!
kiara1615 3 years ago 4
Birth happens between your ears, not your legs. Babies know how to be born....we just have to let them out, like this mom!
