primohomme is pretty clearly a kid who might have been saved by a first grade teacher who could possibly have communicated to him that it's NOT better to gain notoriety by being insulting, disruptive and generally misbehaving. There is never a shortage of primohommes.... unfortunately.
Brava, certo solo che ormai questo repertorio lo fanno i leggeri perch[ le voci vere e piene non sono all-altezza tecnicamente per affrontare questo repertorio;;;;; ahime....
The coloratura in the cavaleta was included for Maria Malibran! Most other sopranos (even ones such as Gruberova and Sills) opted for the less florid version for Ronzi De-Begnis
It's a typo :) everybody makes typos. However, what everybody doesn't do is listen to ugly drag queens with bird faces who wobble and wobble and wobble and only have a couple of good notes that are more like whistles.
@primohomme What a lovely madonna-whore complex you have. Do you rub expired foie gras on your genitalia before your two-minutes hate on youtube videos?
By the way, if you're into singers with bird-faces, I recommend Bartoli, she's adorable.
@primohomme Oh and by the way, if someone with a bird face becomes beautiful by cultivating a difficult skill and sharing it with others, what sort of twisted fuck would condemn them for doing so? It's not like anyone is forcing opera down your throat. Take your twisted idolatry and go drown.
LOL, bitch take a fucking seat, if you enjoy the singing of that ugly old hen Mariella Devia, it's your taste, but don't call it beautiful and don't call it art.
@primohomme Mariella is a queen, with great artistry. lets keep in mind her age, also, shes in her 60s, and she sounds MUCH better than sutherland, gruberova, caballe, any of them sounded at that age.
Well I haven't heard recordings of her in her prime, my problem with her is the same as with Gruberova...they sing assoluta roles and they don't have the right range for them or vocal weight and though they still have nice high notes, the middle and low (which is a must for the assoluta roles) is not there.
The different take on the cabaletta to Dane Joan's is interesting; especially the orchestra's sudden diminuendos to allow Maria and Anna's duet to stand out. Her pp's are ravishing!!!
pianissimo - very quiet dynamic. Really, it's her sotto voce - soft voice, as if whispering, yet still singing audibly - and sostenuto - sustained, slower style with a beautifully legato line - that make her singing so interesting and ravishing :)
Superbe! quelle legerte!

This is the first thing sung by Dessay I really liked. But I still prefer Devia's performance from La Scala.

@primohomme Cavaleta.... how very interesting... is it a neologism or simply another inaccuracy of yours?

Thank you. I'm a neophyte when it comes to Opera, so I appreciate when people can explain terminology etc.
