Vasquez Rocks County park is north of los angeles, ca. Located in town called Agua Dulce with the nearest city called Palmdale. its about 1 hr north of los angeles. its a HUGE park (about 900 acres) that has some interesting history but is now a nature preserve type park that has hiking and some boy scout camping. They also shoot lots of movies and TV shows there (Star Trek and Planet of the Apes being the most famous). Google it for more info.
Hard to remember exactly but pretty sure that was a stock cc-01 or ta-02 something or other, whatever the porsche cayanne comes as. most likely a stock 540 motor.
Thanks, that was a great time, even though I suffered some mechanical issues...lots of people are asking about your blue/yellow CRV body. Whats the story behind it, where did you get it?
I bought it on e-bay several months ago. I basically bought it to satisfy my obsession with the CC01 chassis, that the Jeep is now on. It was stock and barely ran, I paid $250.00 shipped. It now happily resides on an Axial X-trail chassis, tranny and axles. Hope this helps to answer a few questions.
Is the CC01 chassis standard with the Honda CR-V? I bought a Tamiya 1/10 Honda CR-V new aout eight years ago and its the most reliable rc model I have ever owned. Its completely unmodified and is a brilliant compromise between on and off road cars. Should post a video of it on here soon hopefully.
that is correct, tamiya released it on top of the CC01 chassis along with the Isuzu Mu, Mitsubishi Pajero and the Red Bull Volkswagen Touareg. I am totally obsessed with the CC01 lol
Thanks! It was great. We did a follow the leader run in the morning that was awesome. The more rigs there are the harder it is for me to shoot video. I got most of this only after my day was done with both my rigs suffering mechanical failures I couldnt fix out there (stripped servo horn on gwag, broken rear diff output tab on rover).
is this after the mercadias was fixed from the one vid?

Yes, the fix was actually pretty easy. Had to replace the front 4-links and patched the body up a bit.

Wow! I never seen R/C cars do that! It looks so awesome and like good fun! Must have been a lot of different frequencies around.

Couple people had issues with xtals but there were spares around so everyone ran fine. Most use 2.4Ghz or spektrum so no issues.
TONS of fun!

the yota at the end crawls ridiculous but my fav was that white jeep

that white jeep has a sweet setup and is amazing.
The yota at the end is really well set up too. He's made several yota's since and none are as good.
