Funny, but I just noticed something. You lock onto an enemy plane with radar, but when you fire it's "Fox Two." " Fox Two"'s the military call for a heatseeking missile, which don't use radar.
Well its like this...the pilot or operator points the seeker at the target using radar...when the weapon is launched it follows its on board tracking system which allows it to track the heat source...After this point the seeker remains locked on the target
Okay, but according to my uncle (who's actaully been in a dogfight, former Vietnam pilot) this would still make it a radar-based launch because your using the radar to designate a target to follow
Yeah, but in real life the heat seeking missile is not as trash as the one in this game. And may be those heat seeking missile use today will just pick on what every IFF designate non-friendly unit. I had been pilot on complementary fighter will use automatic fire mode and hold the trigger during the fight. So, once the radar get a lock, the missile will fire, all the pilot need to do is exit attacking position to prevent get chase by enemy fighter.
Sorry, there are missing worlds. I did not pilot any plane. I had been told.... =_=b How can I make those mistake. Yeah, I think namco make some mistake in the script. In the mission escort. The civilian pilot said "10-4" But in real life civilian aviation communication (at least in Canada I believe), "10-4" is not allow to use. Instead, they use "Roger" Sorry about the mistake.
Actually, it is realistic (sinking ships, that is). Your attacking from the air, and most ships (especially cruisers, which seem to make up the bulk of the fleet you were attacking) aren't armored there. If the bombs you were using were powerful enough, you could actually do it.
It's called "The Cobra"...also know as the "Dragon Snapper"...it's only possible if your an ACE pilot...you basically pull back on the flight stick and simultaneously decrease thrust and hit the air brakes...then...you firewall the engines...snapping the plane back level like a snake...and snapshot a missle at your opponent who just overshot you...if you own AeroFighters Assault for N64 you can do it...I can do it in F22 Lightning 3 as well..again...pro tactic..not for a beginner...-_-

omg what is that? console like?
The more Arcade a wannabe simulator is the more in love with themselves the pilots are, funny.
Is that actually fun? Doesnt look like it needs a lot skill..but for console gamers I guess its awesome.

Ah. Well, that makes sence.
And, if nothing else, everyone's heard "Fox Two". "Fox Three" isn't as common, so they probally just dumped it for Two.

Yeah, same here in America. 10-4 is military and police comm. Roger is civie.
And you probally think you just misstyped.
