Dreamcast was defintely ahead of it's time, Project Justice is what Marvel vs capcom 3 should have been. and even better with todays technology in terms of graphics.

@Tiamat583 sf4, ssf4 and the like just got boring very quickly. I was one of the people who played the SFII series, the Alpha series, the SFIII series, the EX series, Rival Schools and the VS series (including SNK) and I don't like the SF4 series anymore. MVC 2 and SFIII3S were my all time favourites and this generation of SF4/ MVC3 when compared to the previous one is a joke, aside from Tatsunoko, which imho has topped MVC 2 as the best vs game. But I'd much rather play PJ than SF4 today even.

@Tiamat583 nope. this 10 year old game has a far better engine than that piece of shit. smoother, faster, airblocks (aka no getting trapped in a corner with tigers and hadous), ability to create custom combos, more interesting character designs, better soundtrack and much more fun to play.

Easily one of my favorite Dreamcast fighting games, next to Street Fighter III:3rd. I especially liked the storyline in this game. I just wished it as longer or with more schools to play as. It would've been nice if they had more extras like in the first Rival Schools too.

Whoever said Dreamcast was the first console to have a 3d fighter doesn't know much about the genre. There's been 3d fighters since the PS1 and N64 and Sega Saturn had Virtual Fighter, a series besides Tekken to be solely 3-d fighters..

Well, I don't really mind that, it's kind of traditional in those types of games. I just hate how they tried to make it too much like SF2 to the point where everything is unbalanced again. SF2 was very unbalanced for a reason, not to mention that everything is hard to get use to cause they wanted to be flashy so you can't tell where the middle of the screen is.

Sure, it isn't the most legal way, but if you have a Dreamcast that is manufactured before October 2000, from what I can remember, you can get these games from forums/torrents/romsites and be able to backup and play them without chipping or even softmodding the console. It's not as cool as owning it, but it's a money saver and at least you can build a backup collection~!
And yeah, SFIV was a let-down to me and I easily prefer SFIII over IV in both artwork/animation and overall gameplay mechanics. It's unfortunate that they'd step lower than the predecessor when everyone was expecting something greater. Then again, you can't surpass perfection. <3

I know exactly where you're coming from. Coming from someone who's child hood was I was so excited to get home form school to play this game, and being Power Stone and Phantasy Star Online one of the best game expiriences in my life so far (next to 64 games but that's another subject). They definitely need to give Power Stone a sequel, and I think they're listening to their fans or otherwise Tatsunoko vs Capcom prolly wouldn't have happened (since they can't make Marvel).
No, but my point is that they put 0 effort into the game. Plus, even though I was expecting the story to suck (I know it was gonna suck), I didn't expect a seizure. I mean, you can make a bad storyline, then there's Street Fighter 4. The game's music, story, gameplay, and even it's all around design sucks. But people just eat it up...
I actually found 4 to be good. Unbalance in a fighting game is inevitable. What do you expect from a whole bunch of unlike characters? The visuals are great, I personally liked the music, but don't even listen to it anyway cause of the nice feature of playing your own music, and I found it to be a great return to the series.

Well, in my honest opinion, it's not that good of a fighters. I mean, compared to everything else I've played, Street Fighter 4 is just a shit in the pile. Also, sorry dude, Capcom never listens to their fans or care what their fans want unless they're trying to service them, and for a company that's "in the game", they've been going downhill, also, they treat their workers like total and complete shit.

I concur. I will say one thing though, SFIV is STILL better than EX. I mean, EX had some really badass character designs that could've been flushed out and well become fan favorites, but they left them back in a shitty game that slept while all the other SF titles were busy working. Good characters -

Think about it---If these characters were implemented in a 2D SF game, they could've reached such a high potential (if not full).

I know exactly where you're coming from. Coming from someone who's child hood was I was so excited to get home form school to play this game, and being Power Stone and Phantasy Star Online one of the best game expiriences in my life so far (next to 64 games but that's another subject). They definitely need to give Power Stone a sequel, and I think they're listening to their fans or otherwise Tatsunoko vs Capcom prolly wouldn't have happened (since they can't make Marvel).

No, but my point is that they put 0 effort into the game. Plus, even though I was expecting the story to suck (I know it was gonna suck), I didn't expect a seizure. I mean, you can make a bad storyline, then there's Street Fighter 4. The game's music, story, gameplay, and even it's all around design sucks. But people just eat it up...

I actually found 4 to be good. Unbalance in a fighting game is inevitable. What do you expect from a whole bunch of unlike characters? The visuals are great, I personally liked the music, but don't even listen to it anyway cause of the nice feature of playing your own music, and I found it to be a great return to the series.
I'm not looking for agreement. I'm just merely stating my opinion on it.

Dude no kidding in june some folk ran through my house when I was at church and stole my 360 my dreamcast and 70+ games they the only thing they didn't take was the psp cause I took it apart. I don't even want to talk about the non video game Items they stole. this economy thing is turning weak minded punks all around into fools. The game runs on Naomi board so it might be a pretty hard and expensive port. Now why should anyone spend anything on a PS2 release now that it's doomed since PS3 isn't even compatible with it anymore?

damn i used to play as natsu, hayate?the guy with the kendo sword and daigo. i cant believe that was a long time ago in the arcades (playtime) in the city now its closed. that arcade had this game along with soul calibur 2, tekken 4, sf alpha 2, guilty gear, tekken 5 (when it came out) virtua fighter 4, ahh memories...

Lol, funny thing, I'm attempting to do the exact same thing right now because of how much I love the Rival Schools series and it's characters. I'm buying the Dreamcast off of my friend in probably a few days, and I've been looking at all the copies of Project Justice in good condition on Ebay and they are all pretty expensive, not like that will stop me though, lol.
