well yeah but if it was going to be built, at least they shuold not build it on the face of kaaba right next to it. it makes kaaba look insignificant and little. they should build it further away. plus how many muslims around the world have money to stay there as they say? muslims are poor while a few will come to spend their money not for anything else. the money for this project could have been given to a charity.

@crrrlol For your info Saudi Gov. spent $2b on this project and all the money goes to Grand Haram Endowments. It was just a castle and transformed into a good project which benefits all pilgrims. Makkah needs a lot of housing units and prayer place for 150000 prayes to accommodate the rapid growth of muslims and provide a chance to many muslims to come to makkah. places are limited and muslims are increasing so if you can't afford to stay there then you can stay a little far from Alharam

the ka'abah is the centre of the Islamic world and the mosque of all mosques, the holiest mosque. To me, building such a tower nearby is to mock the house of Allah. I agree with crrrlol the tower is just far too close. It shouldn't be so visible from the Ka'ba because the Ka'ba is supposed to be the centre of focus for the faithfull. Allah knows best. Peace.
