  • Not bad after an injury... well done... 20 month out of training and pretty much in shape... Kyryllo... tebe skolko let esli ne sekret? :) Udachi

  • I don't know why you are commenting on something that I have said eight months ago. But if its your way of saying you missed me, I guess I missed you too sugar bear. WTF It all boils down to is your art, DO, RYU, Style, whatever the hell ya wanna call it; affective in defending yourself in real world conflict? And not every technique should be applied in sporting competition. I don't know how to apply striking the throat, or eyes in a sporting way. Well it was nice hearing from you again....

  • not to be a jerk just sayin is all.....

  • sup with all the right leg kicks?? got 2 legs dont ya??

  • the 2 guys doesnt give a shit in mexico we see better tkd

  • ....boom.armbar.done

  • how did u get hurt that bad

  • wish the friggin' ref would get out of the way so I can see what's happenin'

  • Congrats on your comeback. I do kickboxing and your videos have helped a lot with various kicks that we do. Your videos are the best and I wish you luck in future tournaments.

  • so you don't know the sport.....? what to expect when your art is into rock( papa roach) at 23 year old, i forgive you for the question. i m sure if you try TKD WTF, you will be asking for the hogu (chest protector). peace

  • Because your supposed to during WTF sparring

  • Oh, well that's usually something that i've only seen children wear. Adults are supposed to have the conditioning to handle it.

  • I suppose, but I think its mandatory to wear, no matter what age.

  • cuz some kicks can do serious damage

  • Yeah they can. Alot of people underestimate the power of a TKD kick.

  • at an elite level the hogu (literally, cover) offers little to no protection and is used as a scoring surface (white uniform on blue/red hogu offers great contrast to help with the scoring)

its odd that you've only seen children wear hogus, because kukki-Taekwondo is the largest martial art in the world and all competitions among adults have used them for the past 50 years or so. your experience is obviously quite limited.

  • 'martial art' is a false translation of the word 'do', a complete western misconception. Do means a way of living, NOT an art. Taekwondo and karate-do are derrived from budo ( a militaristic way of life) there is nothing artistic about any of it, that was added by hollywood and poor translation.

sport in the context you used it in assumes the connotation of something done purely for fun. according to that definition there is no sport taekwondo. Not any more than there is sport marksmanship.

  • If you cannot apply the technique in a sporting competition, what good is the technique? Simulation exists to heighten technical skill, and what does not work in simulation is usually reshaped or scrapped. This is a principle applied in many fields.

Okinawans did not invent martial arts, nor did the have an elevated understanding of physiological principles.

Also, I explained the hogu in an earlier post. If you like, you could address a statement of mine rather than rambling on ignoring them.

  • your kicks was to slow

  • Ever notice that it's always the inexperienced opponent cause the most injuries? That's why I hate sparring with them

  • what age and weight class?

  • wow wat an awkward opponent

  • U HAVE AWESOME FOOTWORK. Like the way u 1 dash forward and bounce back 2wice. looks neat

  • @ around 2.00 wad warning was tht? body contact? pushing? leaning?

  • What injury did you have?

  • Guy in red shouldnt be on his flat feet, should be on the balls of his foot, its faster, able to spring back when kick, wont get kicked over u can do alot more with dancing on the balls of ur feet instead flat feet btw KICK HIS ASS!!! :D

  • go kyryllo!!!!!! KICK HIS ASS!!!!

  • why in taekwondo you don't guard your head keeping your arms high?

  • Because I think punches to the face are not allowed in these contests.

  • because punches to the head aren't allowed and even though you can kick to the head, its generally easy to block/move away because the kicks need to move a greater distance than a punch

  • excellent foot work

  • Is somebody shouting "lots of cock" at 1:12??

  • lol!!!

  • i guess that chick or gay dude likes cock....

  • LMAOOOOOOOOOOO

  • That's called Pareidolia. You should look it up. Basically, it just means that you hear what you are predisposed to hear.

  • even funnier then the original comment.

  • @Snweater

haha i think its supposed to mean "los, zum kopf !!" which actually means "kick to the head !!" :P

  • @Snweater LOL! No, she is screaming "Hoch zum Kopf!" Which is German for " Aim for the head!" :D

  • very nice crescent kick to the face at 1:21

  • gospodine kyryllo, ste vi srbin?

  • I'm Ukrainian.

  • theres two things i learned in the movie inside job. "dont mess with mother in laws, and dont mess with mutherfreaking ukranians" lol

  • im ukrainian too

    de tochnishe givesh

  • Well, I am not a TKD guy but as I understand it, the rules provide for very little scoring potential with the hands. Thus, keeping hands guarding the body, the big score zone (any unblocked tap is often a point), it is best, even though head kicks count quite a bit. Most of the time you can defend because of the range/windup head kicks require. That is "most of the time" heh, plenty of great TKD knockouts on youtube. Oh, and glad to hear the author is back in action and hitting hard.

  • can u tell me why tkd guys always have their hands down? are yall told to fight like that??

  • I Went into my TKD tournament the day i got outta the hospital.. il bet if i hadnt been in the hospital i would have won first place... oh well...

  • i injured my knee 3 weeks ago, it feels better and stronger, but i still cant train yet

  • longer stance means longer way. Simple ;)

    Nevertheless a great fight.

    Kyryllo:

Hört sich nach deutschsorachigem raum an :). Wo trainierst du denn, wenn ich fragen darf?

  • his stance is ok even very good

  • You are fighting WTF style, right? You seem to be a strong warrior *thumbsup* but I suggest not staying that wide. You should keep your legs a bit closer. You may try it out in some sparring matches ;)

  • actually, his fighting stance is quite superior, if u fight in wtf tkd u have to be as agile as possible, ergo the lower ur center of gravity is, the better your movement and grip!

  • that's pretty good after coming from a year and 8 long break. How'd you injure your knee in the first place, if you don't mind me asking?

  • I love your video .. good luck

  • Good luck on the come back. They are hard, I know. With the second guy with his leg up, just stay closed stance with him and slid to the back and then back leg round kick to his back. With his leg up in the air by moving to his back he can not recover fast enough.

  • nice job... how old are you? what belt/dan?

  • 20 month break . . man thats a long time!! Looks like you are well on your way back man. Good fight's but shame about the video being so shaky. How is the foot :-) or toe
