  • THANKS!

  • I've been opening oysters since I was three!! It's a new Orleans thing lol

  • You sure have some strange taste in food Dave, I wouldn't touch either of those with a 10ft pole, especially the Oysters!

  • Dave you pig your making me hungry. By the way your video quality is looking really great . HD?

  • I am going to go to my local asian market and say, "Where da dragons at?" They will then look at me and I will say, "You know, da dragon fruit from displayfireworks1!" They will then say, " Oh Dave. He is not allowed in here for raping many children."

  • oysters on the half shell are the best =)

  • how do you know witch ones have the pearls in them and how do they find them so easy?

  • Dragon Fruit is very nice :D

  • its cool that the coconut is pre cut because the young coconut is huge

  • i think dave is secretly asian

  • I really like these food videos. Very interesting, especially when Asian food isn't available in small mid-western towns like mine. I might have to make a drive to the city to buy a couple.

  • everything goes great with beer! haha :)

  • im an american born vietnamese and i never saw a dragon fruit until i went to vietnam to visit my relatives about 3 years ago. i thought the inside of it was soo weird i didnt even try it but i had the durian fruit before and im able to eat that frozen like custard ice cream lol

  • That thing looks like it comes from outer space.

  • Ever find a pearl in the oysters?

  • @featherdude I never found any pearls, however the oyster bar I was at in New Orleans had an entire collection of pearls they found in the oyster, they literally open hundreds of them every day. Nevertheless, they look more like rocks then pearls. He gave my daughter a few. If you buy oysters look for the pasteurized ones, sometimes they have a rubber band around them. Buy that knife I am using it makes so much easier to open them

  • @displayfireworks1 haha i live in new orleans and i believe ur talking about acme oyster house? they open thousands not hundreds lol

  • @featherdude all oysters(in regions were gem quality pearl growth is possible) are xrayed and if what appears to be a pearl of vale they are than opened and inspected. I live in an area were gem quality pearl growth is not possible and have found low quality pearls before

  • Man ima go buy me one of those.

  • that looked so gross but i want to try it so bad!!

  • Oysters on a saltine with Crystal hot sauce. Heaven on a cracker. Goes great with cold beer. Bring some with you to the shoot Dave. I'll pay for em. We can have them for dessert after the pig pickin. Mmmmmm. L8R

  • @Booger6995 forgot the pinch of lemon!!

  • @zezimawanabefriends Not touchy but nope. If you wanna do it fine but I started eating oysters when I was 6. I like em that way. Had em every way a human can consume them (stewed, steamed, fried, raw, condiments ad nauseum, etc). To me that's the best way. I'm 52 and I'll stick with that. Like (Andrew Zimmern) uh Dave says, "If it looks good eat it." Hey Dave likes Durien (sp?) fruit. Andrew Zimmern spit it out twice. Andrews a buzzard. So! Besides lemon adds to much acid to the oyster for me.

  • @Booger6995 yeah but i like hot sause for sureee

  • @zezimawanabefriends Oh absolutely. The Crystal has morphed over time. For me it's started as AB hot sauce. Then it was Crystal / AB. Then it was was Crystal and has been for quite a while. Name has changed but taste is always the same. Ahhh!! My childhood. Good tastes, good memories.

  • @Booger6995 oh yeah for sure man have you ever tryed the (reds) hot sause its really good

  • @zezimawanabefriends Yep Treid Red Hots, Texas Pete, Tobasco ad nauseum. Always comes back to Crystal for me. Flavor profile is what it's about with hot sauce.

  • @Booger6995 yeah its good

  • mmmm that dragon fruit looks really good! lol and how can you tell when one is ripe enough to eat?
