This song is about Elliott Smith having unrequited love for a girl, and you make the video appear as though she loves him, however one main factor of the song is that she doesn't love him, and can never love him. I am not criticizing your video; it is well done. I am just curious of a few things. Why did you pick to have videos of him smiling? Why did you decide to have the girl dance? Curiosity.
I like it. I think the dancer juxtaposes well with the footage. You've got some really nice shots of him, smiling and stuff which is nice for this song especially. And that white shirt is so nice on him. I think this is my favourite Elliot song. I remember hearing it a few years ago as I waited for Devotchka to come onstage and i sometimes wake up with it in my head or it comes to mind as I walk down an empty street..
