  • Yay!

The old Lotto song I rememebr as a kid.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • Can Combody upload the theme of The Pennsylvania Lotto which later bec ame Wild Card Lotto from 1984?

  • The music is classic why did they ever change it.

  • That the Numbers I won on back in 84!!! Wow....Great Video!

  • its a scam !!!!!!!

  • FYI the nighttime TV drawings by the Pennsylvania Lottery happens every night at 6:59 PM ET on the following TV stations across the state: WPVI 6, WGAL 8, WNEP 16, WJET 24, WJAC 6 and KDKA 2

  • Does anyone remember a PA Lottery drawing that went haywire because a ball shot out of the machine into the air? I faintly remember the guy holding up his hand and the announcer saying something about a malfunction in the machine.

  • What year did this happen?

  • You got me.

  • If anyone was wondering, when did the PA lottery single digit machines start using the Ovoid that was used until around 2003.

  • At 0:01, the start of the lottery clip, the tune is called "TIME TRIAL" by Mike Vickers.

I've got the tune. Who ever wants it, I will happy to E-mail you it or I can also direct you to the site where I got it.

  • Wow... I hadn't heard this tune in years and you knew what it was called. Impressive!

It always made me laugh as a kid (I don't know why...) and for some reason still does.

  • Hey just a Question, Did the Big 4 use the theme from Star Wars? Yeah I know that sounded dumb. But All I remember was that it was Loud and ear booming. oh and thank for the D# upload

  • I have no idea, but the past Big 4 logo's font looks like the Star Wars logo a little bit.

  • They used to use a Star Wars type theme for the Big 4 in their advertisements when the game was first introduced in the early 80's. I can still remember that commercial to this day. So it's not a coincidence that you think that.

  • BTW I sent this video to long time WTAE anchor Sally Wiggin and she told me they do bring back a lot of memories for her.

  • Yep I remember this Drawing on WPVI just before Tic Tac Dough

  • AH HA!! From your post I'm going to confirm Tic Tac Dough was before The Joker's wild on WPVI 6 ABC! thanks man!!

  • Well actually The Joker's Wild was on at 11:00am on WPVI in 1984

  • While Jeopardy! was on at 7 (oh yeah!!!) and Wheel was on at 7:30 in '84 (mid to late '84).

  • Actually WPVI was wierd. They aired The Joker's Wild at 11 AM and Tic Tac Dough at 7 PM instead of back to back like everyone else. Probably thanks to Wheel of Fortune.

  • This is great. I remember the music and format as if it were yesterday. I don't like the new format at all.

These drawings were all in Harrisburg, PA - but I'd love to see the old ones from Pittsburgh when they were done at WTAE before the PA lottery scandal in 1980.

  • I would love to see those drawings too.

  • The set and the music look and sound like they're from the 1970s

  • still remember the music...funny

  • Aw man, thank you for posting. Remember this lottery opening, though I though that the background song was different.

  • To all users, if you happen to have any old video of Pennsylvania and New Jersey televised lottery drawings from 1977 until the present and Delaware Lottery televised drawings from 1977 until the last televised drawing that aired on WHYY-TV 12, or any past-present televised lottery drawings from other US states, please feel free to post them here on you tube for everyone to see.

  • Hey Julius! Thanks for sending this! I love looking at all this old stuff. I'm a nostalgia freak!

  • Your welcome.

  • I'm sure you mean

    "YOU'RE welcome,"

    you dimwit!

  • Thanks for correcting me.

  • do you have any from the NJ Lotto? This is rare.

  • How about those dudes that were caught. I think that it was 666 and they planted something in those little balls.

  • Yo,that is classic!

  • WOW!!!! Thanks for postin. This is rare to see this.

  • How many years has WPVI been airing the nightly televised Pennsylvania Lottery drawings?

  • WPVI has been airing these nightly drawings since the Daily Number began in 1977.

  • WOW!!

  • Man this brings back memories! I even remember that cool background music!

  • Wow, Nice! I was sent a reply about this vid though I never saw it before. Takes me back! Great vid!

  • WOW...yes this does bring back memories! Thanks for the great post!

  • GREAT POST! What a find! That brought back many memories. I forgot how they used to slide the winning numbers in the slots on the wall!

  • Cool Video, great job of finding this and posting it

  • FYI the big 4 was 6 4 6 8

  • According to the user of this video, the tape got cut off before the Big 4 was to be drawn.
