Also I dont work for Ambient because I know someone is going to ask. I'm a D.I.Y. person that likes to really look into things I use and install. I'm going with Ambient becaause of price, look, and low V.O.C. compounds in their flooring. MY step son had allergies so carpet isnt good and dont need him getting sick while in his room. I've had maples floors in the past and loved them but that's where price comes in. Also I'm doing this install not hiring installers. Ambient floor is direct also.
Look at Ambient bamboo flooring for more info. I've been looking at bamboo flooring for 8 months and seen samples of stuff from lowes and hope depot and got samples from ambient and otehr places. Ambient I think is the best and o its not fake grain. Actually the woven flooring dark looks like hard wood but its a lot harder than hard wood flooring. Also the woven is bamboo all the way thorugh from Ambient. No plywood with bamboo skin. So you could refinish it 30 yrs later.

sounds like a tedious process, though I am just now starting to explore around with some wood alternatives to flooring.
