  • he is a god indeed :)

  • jesus does anyone else recognize the playing on massive attack's protection is very wobble-ish? just realized listening to this!

  • The bloke with the hat looks like a young Donald Pleasance.

  • @benthejrporter Er, that's John Wardle, aka Jah Wobble himself....

  • @JJ62 I know. I've found that out since. Thanks for reminding me about this song :-)

  • Brilliant song!

  • Cheesy vid, great song.

  • Love this group. One of the cool deep experimental acts in my collection.

Got them and acts like Unkle, Massive Attack, Amon Tobin, Smith And Mighty, Tricky, Death In Vegas, Earthling, Dreadzone, Red Snapper, Allflaws

  • This tune is amazing...takes me back to such a happy place....

  • @craig50 wasnt jah w a mates of sinnead oconnors old man use too go on piss together now theres a lady seen in interveiw he was bad boy with dad

  • Reading Geezer right now. page six Jah equates patriotic nonsense with the hopeless nature of self-identity. I dig what he says so far.

  • Who is the girl at 0:36? -I recognise/ze, but can't place her...

  • great music but i wish he would write songs that dont contradict christian king jame s scripture,we can become more like god , but not be god....visions of you is a great song with a cross in the video

  • @soulkiss1001 food for thought... "All these things I do, you can also do." ; "Ye are little Gods"

  • @soulkiss1001 "I'm just seeing who you really are"

  • Wow when it finishes you just want it to continue and go on and on and on....

  • Drake, Weller, Wobble, Brown.

  • Thanks for adding this. Great track.

  • lets all flush you down the drain and then you will drown and find the afterlife and realise you are god lol

  • Let's all flush this GOD perception thing down the drain. ...

  • FTW

  • It's the way that people can say they really like this without any sense of irony whatsoever.. what?? lol

  • freaking devil obsessed sadhus

  • Jah trying to find his path in the midst of Sadhu's

  • AWful video but a great song

  • A bit pretentious though

  • I was blown away by this track in 1994. Jah, U really made me want to play bass with this one. Thanks.

  • depends wshat u see god as..........gods wot u make it.....i aint religious at all but i luv this song xxxx

  • When describing God as "impossibly funicular", then the elevation of man becomes easier, assuming this limited nature. (Of course, God is UN-limited, so oh, well!) Ready to discuss the metaphysical?

  • Inutilmente magnifico!!

    Unnecessarily great!!

  • haahaaa. where did you hear that? did micheal jacksons doctor tell you ?

  • I heard that Jah Wobble is touring with Johnny Rotten as PIL, True?

  • I heard PiL are touring but not with Jah Wobble or Keith Levine.

  • is video fala tudo pra quem sabe

  • It's been over 10 years since I've heard this and it's still amazing. The dance they do right at the end still makes me smile!

  • That was incredible

  • If only there were more bands like this!

  • very nice jah wobble and bel canto singer

  • Your karma just trod on my dogma! Excellent Stuff.

  • For people who don't know about the woman who's singing, then her name is Anneli Drecker. Known through her membership in the Tromsø-based norwegian duo Bel Canto. It's worth checking out their album "Magic box". Sailing up as one of the best norwegian albums in the 90's! When it comes to this song she perform most of the backing vocals herself, and her quite characteristic "dwarfsinging" has more or less become one of her trademarks:) Enjoy;)

  • im glad the Brits discovered their exctacy its opened alot of minds up so real nice music like the womad etc. is now more people

exposed to tunes of the soul solaris heart , thank god

  • supercool

  • thank you for posting this!

  • ego is illusion!

  • @tcmatik IDIOT

  • Jah - I fancy you, call me, only joking (just)

  • You're totally right. I take it back. Delores did sing on "The Sun Does Rise" though. At least I got that bit right!

  • cheers mate

  • is that her from the cocteu twins?

  • Nope: "...featuring Anneli Drecker (Bel Canto)" ;) .

The one in Cocteau Twins is Liz/Elizabeth Fraser.

But Anneli is a fan of Liz :) .

    cocteautwins com

    annelidrecker com

  • No. it's Delores from the Cranberries. She also sang on "The Sun Does Rise" which is also on Jah Wobble's "Take Me To God album. Go buy it!

  • Wrong, try again ;) . Or check out the credits on the album.

  • Jah Wobble I Always Remember all You Work With Pil

Fucking Awesome You Are My Heroe

  • the only band lydon should reform is the original pil.

the sex pistols stopped in 1978.

  • Nice gorgeous bass.

    Thanx for the video.

  • Ignore the last stupid idiot comment, anyone who might be out there. Hmmm I doubt it. Anyroads, Jah Wobble has moved on, developed as a songwriter, bass player. I love the Sex Pistols, but hate the reforms, and the lack of any development! I wish Jah all the best.

  • Jah Wobble has created his own sweet friends, who transpire to create in the very late evenings/late mornings. And create it. And nourish it. And nourish it. And nourish it. And then disembark. Yeah! Dreadlock don't deal with wedlock!

  • very exotic!

  • Soporific dub rhythms. Dull baselines. Wiggle me asleep, Jah! Still, you're the best!

  • I wonder how this Sadhu behaved offstage? Maybe chasing Jah or Justin Adams? Whatever happened to Justin Adams. Master guitar plaer.

  • Justin Adams is now playing guitar rather wonderfully for Robert Plant's newish band 'Strange Sensation' - He has added a dimension to Plant's solo material missing from virtually all his solo work...

    Indeed a brilliant guitar player

  • Jazzy B! Great Brixton days, Mambo Inn

  • So a white Jazzy B then?

  • great album which brings back many happy memorys...but it still sounds like kabab-house music to me

  • he have a greed musical history a pioneer.look wat he deed in yermani in the 80.....vonka

  • The best idea Jah Wobble had was getting other people to sing for him, while he concentrated on the bass and the music.

  • oh the throb! the most instantly recognisable bass sound apart from danny thomson.

  • fantastic clip..far over all recent clips in TV...Jah made maximum music those times...

  • It's this ShookaLooka-Sound that makes me feel good ! A big view into the mystic of Mr. Wobble !

  • fantastic,reminds me of Knebworth 1994

  • this video was made by peter christopherson,a musician now living in thialand and whith some nowledge in magic, look in wikipedia

  • I fink he's a bit nutz ..

  • zzzzzzzz

  • very beautiful and mistical and shamenistic

  • This is fantastic, Wobble and Drecker, they should do a complete album together

  • crap

  • and how is this crap? not enough guitar solos and spandex for you or something?

  • No way! I've never seen this video and tried hard to find it, but gave up a long time ago and all of a sudden it's here. Thank you so much!

  • Anneli looks sooooooooooo innocent
