They're called Apostolic or Pentecostal hairstyles because most Apostolic/Pentecostal women do not cut or trim their hair. Therefore alot of the ladies in our churches have very long hair--mine is over 3 feet long. So our hairstyles are unique because we have a whole lot more hair to deal with than the average person--lengthwise. And also we have a bit of our own culture and style--which in my opinion is beautiful!

i love th hairstyle! but just one quick question, not that i am against it or anything but what is up the apostolic and the pentecostal?? like is it part of the hairstyle name or your religion?? im not against it...im just curious....

Apostilic/Pentecostal is a demonination of Christianity. These hairstyles are called "apostolic" hairdos because we're known for them and are very common for the women in our church. (:
