Also, I took off the factory screen protector......will not use a SP as you said, it is GGlass and you don't need one. Unless maybe your a daredevil skater and are doing stunts....
@jakescakes By running CyanogenMod 7 (CM7) on my Motorola Triumph. It is a Gingerbread ROM (Android 2.3). Go to my channel to find a LOT of video guides on the subject. Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!
@minus5252 I know there is some controversy over whether the Triumph has gorilla glass or not. Frankly I don't care either way however I am pretty bummed that my Triumph is full of scratches and I am generally pretty careful with it. Who warrants the glass? Is it the DOW/Corning, VirginMobile, or Motorola? I haven't seen any display warranty in the paperwork that came with my phone.
@pinchepedro Just contact Virgin Mobile, as they will be the fastest to replace the phone. My friend just did this same thing. However, first, did you remove the factory screen protector (not the flimsy one that is obvious, but the other one)? Often, people find that the screen protector is just scratched. Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!
@minus5252 Thanks for the reply. No I didn't get a factory screen protector. I did buy an aftermarket protector (much like the Zagg Invisible Shield) but I didn't like it cause it felt too sticky and screen response went down. I did not buy my phone directly from Virgin Mobile, do you think that may become an issue?
@pinchepedro No, I didn't mean did you BUY A factory one, I mean did you remove it. There were TWO screen protectors on the phone when you got it. One that is obvious and has a tab on it, and one that they don't even tell you is there. Most don't know about it. That is probably what is scratched.
Cool review, but be careful as my LCD display broke without even dropping it. I picked up my phone off teh table, half the screen is shaking and the other dark with lines running up and down. But the glass is untouched and the touchscreen works, phone 100% functional, just cant see what I'm doing. Some say it's built up pressure and LCD finally cracked. It's being replaced, I hope I get a good one.
@lonestartex1 That is usually caused by temperature or pressure changes...sorry you're having to deal with that! Did you get your replacement yet? Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!
@TheP4CH3C0 Hmmm...I thought this was a great, low-profile case...sorry to hear you didn't like it as much as I do. It has saved me a number of times, so I am hooked though.
@socomcaG It is 3 - 7 times more expensive (last I checked it was around $30) for no real benefits, and I believe it is only available in one color: clear.
Hey so if the gorilla glass gets scratch u can send it and they will put a new one? Is it warranty or do u have to have insurance? Thanks for the video liked it!
@TheP4CH3C0 Go to my channel and search for "revert" to find a video guide on reverting to stock if you are worried about that. Virgin Mobile is VERY good about taking care of their customers...one of the nice things about being a no-contract customer: they have to WORK at customer service to keep you.
I tried the Amzer gel case (bought two actually) and didn't like the button operation. So I went with a hard case and have had good luck with it. My number one rule is to not drop the phone. After one year of smartphone ownership I have not broken that rule. I would love the silicone gels if they had button cutouts. Same with the TPU case I got, no cutout on the volume buttons.
@minus5252 The buttons on my Triumph are pretty flat and almost even with the phone's case. My Amzer gel cases had no bumps on the inside to help the buttons along like the gels for my Optimus V phones. In general, I like the gels, they just don't seem to work well with my particular phone. Believe me when I say I've tried them all. I have a box full...LOL.
@minus5252 My gels have bumps on the outside, but not on the inside where it would actually do some good. Also, I noticed that the back of the gel case on your phone lacks a hole for the 2nd mic (noise-canceling?). My black case had the hole while the green one didn't. Anyway, I do totally agree with you that for ultimate protection of the phone due to drops, silicone gel is the way to go.
@redoscar3 You are correct, I will be making a hole in the back with a hole punch...I just replaced my old, scuffed case with this one (I bought it a long time ago, before they started putting the holes in. Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!
Cool I ordered one. At the bottom of the page there's one for 3 bucks, but it looks like it's missing a cutout for that tiny notch at the top of the battery cover. A reviewer said it's a noise cancelling speaker so I ordered the 10 dollar one

@minus5252 unfortunately no there is no other factory protector. Thanks for the info though. I'm gonna call VM and see if they'll warrant the screen.
