I've always liked Fleeting Spirit a great deal. But it was ridiculous that she was allowed to keep this win. She went all over the track, and seriously hampered Main Aim and King's Apostle inside the final 1/2f. JMO.
I know he had a 4th place finish in this race. But I don't really like the idea of Richard Hannon racing Paco Boy at 6 furlongs. Paco Boy is better over a mile, or at least 7 furlongs. They're going to race him at 6 furlongs again at Haydock in the Betfred Sprint Cup. I know Paco Boy has a tremendous turn of foot. But often, it doesn't show up until the final furlong of a mile race. It will be hard for Paco Boy to beat SSB, Regal Parade, Fleeting Spirit, and Equiano at this distance. IMO.
I can't believe the Stewards let Fleeting Spirit keep 1st place in this race. Main Aim was finishing up all over Fleeting Spirit, and she completely stopped his run cold. Weaving all over the track from one side completely over to the other. Only in the UK would that sort of result stand. Fleeting Spirit would've been D.Q.'d in any other country in the world for weaving all over the track the way she did in this race.
@GBeret83 I couldn't agree more. She clearly took Main Aim's running, forced that horse to loose at least 1.5 lens and forward momentum. I have little doubt that Australian stewards would have demoted her.
@josesepecial93 The Stewards had a very close look at Crystal Lily's interference and imposed appropriate penalties on the rider and the horse. As you know, Jose, she finished almost down the outside fence and the interference occurred earlier than in this race. I think the stewards got it right with Crystal Lily.
Takeover Target greatest sprinter in this race and if not the world would of won if he didn't break his cannon bone he battle on like the true warrior he is
I can't believe that Paco Boy lost to this field. When he's on his game, there wasn't one horse in that whole field, Fleeting Spirit included, that's anywhere close to being in Paco Boy's league. IMO.
This saw the superstar Takeover Target break down and run his final race. He would of won for sure before breaking down. I miss you Takeover. I love you
perhaps one of the worst rides ever on Paco's Boy!!! Why were they holding up a 7f horse in a 6f sprint!! God only knows!! He should have been in the van the whole way!!

@SvendBosanvovski Golden Slipper 2010. Crystal Lily attempted to wipe out half of Rosehill, didn't she?

Fleeting Spirit would have kept it in Dubai, Ireland and Australia for sure. Watch the 2010 Golden Slipper in Australia - that was even worse.
But, yes, the UK rules are a disgrace. Main Aim never had a chance to win, and once that is removed disqualification must happen.
