Great video! I'm hesitant on purchasing the Tivoli GM because of the vachetta leather. My husband recently gave me a Trevia Gm in the Damier Ebene Canvas. It feels so huge. I'm contemplating exchanging it for the Tivoli GM after seeing your review. If you could give me any insight on what I should do. I wear hand lotion constantly and I worry about the discoloration. I love the Damier print and wish LV made the Tivoli in that print too. What bag is similar to the Tivoli GM in the Damier print?

I've never owned the Trevi, but I've heard it can get a bit heavy because of the alcantara lining. Gorgeous bag though! If you're wanting to stick with Damier, and are looking for a similar style but a bit smaller... maybe try on the Sistina MM, the Verona MM or PM, or possibly a Westminster? (The Westminster is more of a tote though.) One of those may stand out to you if you can try them on in the store. Good luck! For the same price, different style - try on the Empreinte Artsy! :)

I feel like the Tivoli GM is roomier than the Totally MM... mainly because it has the wide opening and instead of things falling to the bottom - there is more East/West room. I don't think the Tivoli would work as well for file folders or things of that nature though. The Totally is great for "squarer items" (small laptops, iPad, files, etc.), and I love being able to put my keys in the outside pockets on that one. ;)

Retail on LV's website of the Tivoli GM as of today is $1610. They usually have a few price increases throughout the year, so that probably will change (go up) over the course of 2012. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

I don't generally pre-treat because I like just letting the bag be what they are going to be... the vachetta on my Tivoli handles does have some marks on it from use - but I think that adds character. My biggest thing is that I prefer when the vachetta patinas evenly, and it has done that on this bag. I try not to grab the handles at the top to put too much of the oils from my hands on the handles - but I also don't really use lotion on my hands that much, so I think that helps.
