  • EUROPE SMALL BLOCK ENGINE 1,2 litres

USA SMALL BLOCK ENGINE 4 litres...

  • and we have alternatives - googlev water fuel cell - google pick up truck on 100% water

  • bullshit - the wells are regenerating... google it...

  • Oil is $110 a barrel, reality is a bitch

  • oildeploy is the only hope the world has, hope we dont destroy everything before it happens. Imagine cutting down the loungs of the world whit a woodaxe.

  • London jan 2016 £1.33 a litre, ummmmmmm its more that that RIGHT NOW!

  • @AwsomeAthiest

What was it 4 years ago? (2008)

it's 1.40 a litre (diesel) as of Feb 2012, double it in two years, and double it again for 2016 = £3.60 a litre? poss more? now that were not getting oil due to the imposed sanctions... hmmm.. time to buy a bike and learn new ways me thinks?

  • Comment removed

  • Anyone with half a brain would buy a vehicle with the best MPG possible, but you get blank stares if you ask most Americans why they still treat this as a transitory thing, and tend to go for maximum HP and "fun." It's called mass willful ignorance.

  • @4aSteadyStateEconomy

anyone with a full brain would'nt buy a car

so many people without brains, and a few with half brains :o)

  • @DumpYourTelevision That doesn't make sense? How else do you plan to get around, i like cycling but it can only take you so far. To be honest anyone who isn't seriously ignorant of reality wouldn't make such a statement. Also oils price fluctuates so much that it is hard to tell what it will be in x years especially with oil projects in the arctic.

  • @jcalpha103

of course it wont make sense to you.. sorry!

Think about no oil, THEN think about how you get about, forget that you are going anywhere cause you woudnt - new way of life, makes perfect sense to me.

I dont think many would want to think about such things anyway, ponders a thought.

  • @DumpYourTelevision Lol when oil ends i doubt that we will regress to hunter gatherers. We have quite a while before then anyway.

  • @jcalpha103

my bike got me as far as I needed...

    There and back...

    ;O)

  • @4aSteadyStateEconomy Whilst it can be logically justified buying a high MPG car, this recent scaremongering that oil is about to all of a sudden run out is nothing but artificial scarcity so they can jack up the prices.

  • @4aSteadyStateEconomy the answer is to design a better battery or storage device so we can drive longer distances with fewer recharges. whoever designs it will be filthy rich.

  • Window Wonders. Type it into the search bar. They are awesome.

  • so messed up that this "fiction" already happened yet people still don't believe it

  • @1x93cm

believing something without experiencing it is delusion, just wait till they experience it!

then and only then will they REALISE it...#

meh, let the experience begin now

  • It a start for American obesity.

  • Given what's been going on and is still going in the Middle East this scenario seems even more plausible of a world without oil. The stuff may still be in the ground but if the supply was turned off at its very source, it would be as bad as if it had run out for the global economy.

  • I've read really good novel about this scernio called Last Light by Alex Scarrow and his sequal Afterlight, which deals with the long term consequences of a world without oil.

  • America are too adicted to oil no doubt specially to see how much their cars use as fuel.. its a shame.. long live europe!

  • If they dare touch Alaska, I'm gonna touch them

  • I kinda hope this happens. We get to ride horses!!!

  • I would love to see oil run out.Nothing would fuck people up more in their little square box fucking little world than having to take 100%responsability for their lives.

  • @affilinet i would love to see you run out

  • 3.50 isn't that bad for gas.

When it gets up to 4.50 or 5 then there will be some pretty pissed of people.

  • Scare tactics.....OIL SHALE AND CNG,THE AMERICAN WEST IS THE NEW SAUDI ARABIA...

Its the dawn of the American Energy age....

  • $3.31 a gallon i wish gas was that fucking cheap

  • when this hapens the us and china well take complete control of the middle east

  • I was told in school in the 70's that I wouldn't be able to drive a car as all the oil would be gone..

By the time I got my license- there was a global glut- cheapest gas ever.

Supply shortages are always political, not physical- and those same political elements always try to make a fast buck on 'snake oil' alternatives.

  • The frightening part of this is the fact that American agriculture is so heavily dependent on petroleum at every stage from beginning (plowing) to end (transportation) that it's estimated at least ten calories of petrochemicals must be burned to produce every single calorie of food produced in this country.

  • @OreadNYC The real frightening fact is that one or two big agri businessess own the vast majority of bio-producing land now. When society reverts to a high tech agrarian style if we don't take their land as the oil runs out, we'll be plunged into a new corporate feudalism.

  • @NewUser21111

    in the uk:

one litre of petrol = £1.37

    one gallon = 4.5 litres

    1.37 * 4.5 = £6.17/gallon

    thats $10.03/gallon

  • Why would the title be If? rather than When? Yeh think about that you common youtube viewer person you.

  • Our Ivf worked as planned twins.... :)

  • @TheAwokenMind I like my Diamond Back ,but I prefer to drive to work.. :)

  • Tar Sands,Bakken field, Natural gas in near unlimited supply in the USA,and gasfication of coal there is a 400 year supply of coal in the USA.. The sky is not falling...............

  • @ClarksonsinUSA Look up EROEI. Then learn about what happens when exponential growth meets a finite resource.

  • @bagnasty2 Are we running out of resources?,look it up on YouTube...

  • @ClarksonsinUSA this is utube

  • not going to happen. in 2016 most cars will be electric like the nissan leaf. in this movie the best option was a hybrid, not a ev.

  • @civic94coupe206 You forget the fact that a large majority of the parts in cars are made using oil, i.e. plastic, tires and the energy requirements to drill and mine for the metals and other components for the batteries. What about transporting goods from one country to another, you can't run a massive container ship on batteries.

  • @TheAwokenMind It still needs oil (tyres, innertubes, grease) and it cost look after usuall wear and tear.

I do agree that it is the best transport if only there were affordable bicycles with roof and designed to have low air resistance then it would be the best transport for town.

  • strange how the suburbs in minnisota look like the ones in europe

  • so terrible that middle upper class twits from england have to be late for a party. i almost gave a fuck

  • there's no going back to the time when oil wasn't used. Everything that is powered by engine needs oil. And modern society cannot survive without cars, trains, planes and ships

  • It's not "If" it's "when", and it will be sooner than you think, now won't it?...

  • 1:47 We're there NOW.

  • @TheAwokenMind yeah but with the bike you cant do the same distances in the same time with the car

that means that car is more practical

    however metro is a solution

    but its expensive to construct

  • I'd love to see a world without oil, it would help to kill off the world's losers and idiots in society. We have to get back to basics

  • Comment removed

  • @TheAwokenMind Oil goes into a lot of other things besides your car.

All plastics, paints, many different agricultural products -- even some medicines are made from petroleum.

No oil = no modern society.

  • OIL is from the earth its natural like water is...its not leaves and dead animals ..

there is so much oil we couldnt use it all...remember THE GULF COAST OIL SPILL??? so much oil still there but no ones whats to try to drill as its probably still leaking (were not looking anymore are we).

ITS ALL part of ANGENDA 21

read "NEW ORDER OF THE BARBARIANS" in shadow goverment (web sight)

its all there from 1969 to today.....

    SLAVES WAKE UP!!!

  • @AwakeDude911

Whatever 'agenda' there might be your actually playing allong with it.

Goverments hardly ever speak a word about this matter, but this matter (energy) is the source of basiclly everything in society as we know it, once there's no longer enough that society will slowly collapse.

And goverments like to give the masses the idea that there is no problem in this sector, wich shoudnt be a surprize considering how vital it is.

  • @TheAwokenMind what are you going to do for food ???

what are you going to do when 100,000 people in your city are starving ??

how many bullets do you have ??

its not as simple as trading your car for your bike !!

  • What a bitch.

  • @TheAwokenMind Ssssh! Keep it to yourself. We cyclists are an elite.

  • @LakotaCat we lived without oil before, we can do it again.

  • Comment removed

  • wow fucking bullshit drama acting filler

  • they shud come up some technology like iron man's power core ,, that wud really last long ,,

  • Around 0:25 that fat old chick just cracks me up.

over privelidged chick: "what's taking so long, let's get moving"

dude: "you think that's bad, well take a load of that"

over privelidged chick: "ahh! what the f***! 10?! :O, my credits ruined!"

Then she moves in for some starbucks or whatever.

  • @theawokenmind

Try riding your bike in 2foot of snow.

  • @TheAwokenMind I wish I could think that way but our whole system runs on oil even if we don't . However, empty highways would certainly make travel a whole new idea!

  • @HPfan75 My husband would love that - spend all winter with the house smelling like French fries

  • @TheAwokenMind Problem is, even we cyclists need oil - for our bike tires, tubes and brake pads.

  • Have we forgotten that people survived just fine not so long ago without oil? Get a horse and wagon, plow some fields, have a fire place. Christ almighty people! What, are you worried that we won't be able to have factory processed snacks smothered in artificial cheese and we might have to actually walk places? Jesus.

  • @IsaTracy Ehhmmm it's not that simple. If the oil would run out tomorrow BILLIONS of people would die, it's as simple as that. You can't just decide to go back to basics and make it happen for everybody in a day. The main reason for us getting to 7 billion people is oil.

  • @IceGuyProd Yeah, but it wouldn't disappear over night, it would dwindle. And even if it did vanish, at least we can trim down the overpopulation problem.

  • @IsaTracy But you do realize the moment peak oil has been reached, which many believe already happened couple of years ago... It will have very bad effects on the world economy which relies on growth. The current financial crisis could be just the beginning of decades of a deep depression, a much harsher world than we have been living in for the past decades.

We need to do more to adopt to different energy sources before it's too late and we loose our way of life for good.

  • Nothing would please me more than to see this nation of obese, arrogant lardasses having to walk and bike everywhere..... and maybe toil in a field for part of the year to grow some real food.

  • London January 2016 Petrol £1.33 / litre

    London October 2011 Petrol £1.39 / litre

    Petrol prices going down?...glorious!

  • First off alot of the facts in this are not even true. i agree that there will be peak oil one day, but there is no way the US has reached peak oil yet because they haven't explored nearly half the sites available to them for off-shore drilling and the second largest oil reserves in the world? -Canada.

  • The surveys are done by the monopoly oil companies themselves - they choose where to look and how hard to look. They ignore what they choose to ignore and there is no longer an honest government to check and keep them honest. Peak Oil is not a conclusion reached by honest research to get to the facts. Rather it is an excuse for monopoly pricing. Also BP oil spill and Fukushima were two events that help keep supply low and therefor prices high. This fellow has a grant - he is paid. p_wv4NTNrxU

  • brazil uses alcohol

  • Fiction:

    Fact

    Minneapolis

    September 2011

    Petrol $3.70/ gallon

    Reality bites bitches!!

  • @NewUser21111 £1.39 (that is per liter) so £6.31 ($9.73) for a gallon that is REALITY. You Americans are lucky to have such cheap gas.

  • @WWWeres agreed.

  • start making big vegatable patches, plant apple trees get lots of chickens and goats.learn how to hunt rabbit and fish makeral.trap rainwater. also get lots of razor wire, high fences and guns/ammo. if you live in a city your screwed.

  • @jamo92701 knowing how assinine the government is, if you are self sufficient they will probably try to tax you off your land and toss you in with the rest of the slaves while fat, government subsidized firms waste indiscriminately in the face of your poverty.

  • 5:45 Who wrote this junk?

  • 4:10 Silly scenario that doesn't even start to describe the reality.

  • like the world is going to be fucked when oil runs out, it will just go back to the middle ages or something like the roman empire

  • once in Canada oil was 2$/litre when i went to vacation during 2006

  • This is why Obama never should have been elected.

  • @Bergertim How is peak oil Obama's fault? Was the Bush/Cheny solution (invade Iraq) any better than Obama's current inaction?

  • @nichins Obama has been the worst energy president in US history. He has closed down dozens of oil platforms in the Gulf of Mexico, by revoking their permits, designated thousands of miles of land as Federal park land, so it cannot be drilled upon, forbidden more drilling in Alaska. And, he is now in the process of closing down coal power plants, by regulating them to the point where they can no longer be profitable. He is doing this through EPA regulation, which allows him to bypass congress.

  • @Bergertim Even if those places were drilled, at some point its going to run out. What we need to do is fund research for energy sources like nuclear fusion.

  • the collapse is coming soon..

    Ive already knew that

  • I WANT MY FLYING CAR, AUTO INDUSTRY BITCHES !!

  • ELECTRIC CARS ELECTRIC CARS PEOPLE

  • @sexyrene008 and where do you think electricity to charge the batteries comes from, or the batteries made of? if we stop driving every single car on earth we would cut consumption by only 45%. Every single car would takes 12-15% of all the oil it will consume on its life spam just to make it. Collapse is inevitable, and Human population is the next bubble to pop. Prepare, prepare people

  • @sexyrene008 electric cars still need a carbon based fuel source to run the electric companies.

  • @mjt1517 - Current cars can only use one fuel source: petroleum. Bad idea. Once you have an electric car, it can be powered by anything. The car stays the same, the electric grid stays the same. The only thing that changes is the mix of power plants as fuel sources come and go. Right now we have coal, natural gas, nuclear, hydro, wind, solar, biomass, geothermal.. Someday nuclear fusion which will be unlimited. Having all these sources is more secure than one source: Middle eastern oil.

  • ELECTRIC CARS ELECTRIC CARS

  • Greed has our backs against the wall and until we face the fact that alternative energy is the second way out of this jam then the wall will close in for the kill

  • you know what make much more sense, invest in cheap renewable energy resources. energy problem solved, all people need to do is improve the storage of batteries and the effectiveness of the energy collecters (wind turbines and solar panels geo thermal)

  • For It Was Greed That Killed Man Kind.

  • Another great reason NOT to have children.

  • "its not our job to service the SUV's of america he said" so so so true

  • london £1.33 we're already paying that even more in some places. Americans are so annoyong whining about oil prices we pay over double of what you pay, stop being little bitches and grow up

  • @suppmarkxb Hey we whine in peace time...you guys haven't won a war since we left your country haha and if you say WW2 just remember who saved you

  • @HikingVegas haha we saved you? lmao i love these type of comments. You joined halfway through ww2, and secondly we was helping you fight japan actually you fucktard. The only reason why you joined in to the European battle was because germany declared war on you. God enough of the American bullshit and research your history faggot.

  • @suppmarkxb haha cute what the hell did you guys even do in Japan? All you did in the pacific was have your officers lead indians! haha your lucky you can even speak English. If it wasn't for us you would be speaking German!

  • @suppmarkxb LOL I found what you were talking about singapore and malaysia right? LARGEST BRITISH SURRENDER OF ALL TIME! Churchill referred to it as the "worst mistake" and "largest capitulation" in Brits history hahaha

  • oil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It's all ready more than £1.33 a litre.

  • America is going to have to bite the bullet and surrender their 'god given right' to consume at an ever increasing rate.

  • thats why i have a gun :D

  • "If" the oil runs out? It is a question of WHEN.

  • If the oil wells are depleted the earth's engine will eventually stop...(heat to cold)

Pls bear that in mind...Oil reserves are the one who fuel the earth's engine...it will not deplete tomorrow or next week or next year,But eventually^^

  • overpoplation is the problem...

  • @MrBorderghost Then dont get your wife pregnant..lets see if you are so OVERPOPULATION is the problem.^_^

  • @HPfan75 I've seen SO many of these oil documentaries, and they ALWAYS neglect to mention Alberta. I don't get it, but Canadian businesses, resources, stories, demographics, good and bad things going on etc are rarely mentioned outside of Canada. Another example is with the Toronto G20 riots, from what I heard, the only international networks covering them were a Russian English-language station, Al-Jazeera, and Democracy Now. Kinda off topic, but related.

  • This should be "WHEN" not "IF" .

  • @Billycarl71 Very true. I think the goverments are hiding that they are running low on oil. But if we run out of oil the world economy will collapse. I mean look at Norway, they are running low as we speak. If we dont replace the oil with something, then were done.

  • @Billycarl71 bigtimes

  • watch gashole the documentry on youtube in full""""

  • I love how Canada is totally forgotten lmao "No oil here...."

  • People cannot accept the fact that two centuries of technological progress might come to end because of a world wide power outage.

  • Interesting...petrol £1.33/ Litre in 2016...cool we could do with a price cut...:-)

  • @jonnykkkkkkkkk

Prices are above £1.33/ Litre where I live today...

  • Comment removed

  • well the goverment are already systematicaly sterilizing us and breaking our emune systems down with vacines from pretty much as soon as we are born , we will just be killed off :( atleast my facebook page will live forever !

  • OIL COMPANIES DONT HAVE TO DRILL FOR MORE OIL TO GET MORE MONEY. THATS WHY THEY USE SUPPLY&DEMAND AS AN EXCUSE. THEY DRILL LESS... CHARGE MORE... SAME MONEY MORE PROFIT.

  • EVERYONE IS STUPID. OIL IS EVERYWHERE. WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF CHEAP HIGH OIL RESERVES. WE HAVE TO DRILL DEEPER THATS IT. mORE COST TO IT BUT NO END WORLD CRISIS. CANADA HAS ENOUGH OIL FOR THE WHOLE WORLD FOR 100 YEARS. EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES THIS GARBAGE IS IGNORANT. DONT CALL ME IGNORANT. YOUR THE ONE BUYING INTO THIS MEDIA INFLATED BULLSHIT. GAS PRICES HAVE NOT GONE UP. THE VALUE OF THE DOLLAR HAS GONE DOWN. RESEARCH IT

  • @shevah2 your ignorant comments about everybody in general, and the fact that you think writing in caps will get you more attention are evidence enough that you have fucking issues.

  • Fiction:

    London

    Petrol £1.33 / litre

    Fact:

    London

    Apr 2011

    Petrol £1.49 / litre

    Reality bites!

  • @Huttate1 1.49 GBP per litre! Wow that's expensive.

  • In the beginning it says "If", when in reality it should say "When". It's going to happen. No question about it.

  • People who breed and sale horses are going to be rich !!!!

  • ALIEN SAID HAHAHA HUMAN IS SO SUCK BALL SALTY

ALIEN 2: YEAH I AGREE THAT BITCH HUMAN

ALIEN 3 : HAHA MIGHT LET GET INVADE !!!!

ALIEN 4 : HEHE LET GET INTIVE TO THEM ALIEN ATTACK TO HOMEWORLD HAS NO OIL AND GASE !!!

  • A New world Order will be attempted in 2012, think of it as population control, the less people there is, the longer the oil lasts.

  • 6:34

Acknowledging that it has been "a tumultuous time for the world," Obama said the various crises point to a pressing need to reduce the nation's dependence on oil. "There are no quick fixes," he said, as he pledged to reduce oil imports by a third by 2025.

  • It is our god given right to fill up...and we will ...and we will drive...and aint shit gonna happen...damn conspriacy theorists always tryin to scare the population ...

  • @kakmolnia

YOU'RE SCUM! You're writing your shit on this video too! It is not your fucking "god given right to fill up" you dumb shithead! You need to die seriously. A complete waste of space. Usually I take time on my comments to write correct spelling and not swear and sound as rational as I can. But twats like you make me so angry. You deserve death for your views. You are going to suffer in the future and I will laugh at you. I hate you! Rot in hell!

  • @kakmolnia it,s happening now you silly sod! why do you think energy costs are going up? please don't be so blind. Think of your family!

  • @malooga12 think of my family? i am and thats why im not filling there heads with nonesence. But to each his own ;)

  • @kakmolnia but just think for a momment, what if your wrong? It all goes tits up and you have nothing to fall back on, you would be in as much deep shit as the rest of them. If im wrong, i get to be more self relient, pay less tax! I'm onto a winner:-)

  • @malooga12 Cheap oil....you know the 99 cent a gallon is forever gone...but there is plenty of oil at 3-5 bucks a gallon....tar sands in alberta...than the untouched tar sands in saskachawan(3 times as much as alberta) Russia huge amounts of oil(the most in the world) ...

  • @kakmolnia i think you need to research what we have to do to get the oil out of these tar sands! and what 5 bucks a gallon would mean to the transport infrastructure. If we are considering these forms of oil then light sweet crude must allmost be out. Ho. And do you really think russia will sell you oil at a fair rate or will they hold you to ransom for it?

  • @kakmolnia It is happening now, It will go up and we are in for a bumpy ride.

  • @RainbowManification everybody talks and everybody listens...but in the end the truth still ends up missing...you worry ...i dont and still there is a diff out come. People always over dramatize everything

  • @kakmolnia would you rather ASS U ME now that there won't be a worst case scenario? Your a rat not worrying about the snake eating you because the snake hasn't eaten you yet, so you assume the snake isn't hungry. Then later when the snake eats you and your digesting in its stomach, you complain that no one else tried to stop the snake from eating you because you assumed that the snake wasn't hungry.

  • @RainbowManification ASS U ME??? hahaha WTF is wrong with you lol....wow you have just convinced me...............that you are a complete douche bad maybe...LOL wtf haha! Instead of giving me some facts your gonna tell me im like a rat ? ok dumbass.... and uh...that im getting eatin? woooww

  • @kakmolnia Assume = ASS out of U and ME, However the fact still stands the world is running out of easy to come by oil

  • Why is it that americans are so in need for oil when it costs a quadripple in europe?

Please whine when you pay as much as we do.

We dont whine, and neither should americans.

As for solutions, just build fucking magnet (maglev) or electric hydrogen cars. We could have made hundredthousands of such cars or trains for all the time we spended money on senseless wars.

    The technology we arleady have,

Were just afraid to reform a total infrstructure and are afraid of financial issues because of it.

  • "London 2016 Petrol £1.33 - litre"

LOL its 2011 and petrol is already £1.36 per litre

Parts of london its past £1.40 per litre

  • In the Stone Age, stones were our only tools. Now, what we live in can most certainly be called the "Oil Age"--everything we do revolves around oil. The Stone Age ended not because we ran out of stones to use, but because we found a better way to do things. We should, in hopes of allowing our race to survive, come up with a new way "to do things."

And oil... there's a lot of it, by the time all of it's been used it will be obsolete. It's just inaccessible at the time.

  • did you know that an oil substitute has already been discovered that burns clean? texaco and esso developed it.....

  • TAR SANDS ALONE WOULD COST $2.00 A LITRE OR MORE......ITS VERY X-PENSIVE 2 PRODUCE...CHEAP OIL IS GONE......HELLO MAD MAX WORLD...... DONT 4 GET THER IS ''ONLY'' 7 BILLION OV US.......WW3 HURRY UP..... ''HELL'' IT WILL B $2.00 LITRE BY 2012....... BORN IN THE WRONG TIME.........I GUESS WERE INVADING LIBYA SOON....

  • At 1 pound 38p a litre they would make you belive we'll running out. But sadly we haven't got through half the worlds supply yet. It just oil companys and the goverment that owns them getting mega rich.
