t had surgery in December, and is still in hobbles. Cost us a real pretty penny, but we love our dogs so much, they're worht all the money in the world! I really hope your dog is alright, I know you posted this almost a year ago, but our hearts go out to you!

I'm sorry to hear about your dog =/ We have four of them, and we love them! We had mom and dad (accidental breeding). For her first litter, the mother birthed 9 puppies! Two were still-born, a boy and a girl. There was only one male, so we raised seven beautiful little girls, and we still have three of them! The dad passed a year ago this past January from canine lymphoma. I haven't heard of panosteitis, but we have a dog with OCD (i can't rememebr what it stands for) but she jus

Beners is the best breed in the world in my opinion. They are so loving, big and kinda like a bear. Maggie and Daisy is great names for dogs.

I have noticed this always occurs after the puppy vaccines & always following the rabies vaccine. Vets say they don't know what causes Pano but I know it's a cover up. Nobody is allowed to pin anything on human or pet vaccines for fear people will not get vaccinations but studies of a Pano joint where fluid was extracted found the vaccines had accumulated in the joint. When I looked up vaccine symptoms it says "Joint pain".

A past stud I had Glucosamine & Chondroitin worked. I did not want to use pain killers because they are harmful to the liver & kidneys.

I discovered with my New Stud the Glucosamine & Chondroitin did not work on him But Liquid EDTA had a quick affect within 24hrs.

I have also had puppy customers who did not know the signs of Pano, the vets could not see anything on the films but surgeons wanted to go in, break both legs & restructure the knees, I said No, it's Pano, run it through OFA & they can confirm or wait it out, I said the surgeons are pulling a scam. They waited & the Pano went away as it always does & someone must have gotten those surgeons in trouble because it stopped, no more surgeons wanting to operate & 5yrs later the dogs are fine.

I knew someone whose Berner had feet problems (so bad that at the end he ended up falling down the stairs we believe - not sure whether he had panosteitis, never heard of it until now, but he was given a product for his joints or feet called Glucosamene, a vitamin supplement I think.

LOL!! Little girl....not for long. My Berner grew to 120 pounds. So sweet though. Big chewers. Watch all babys plastic toys. Destroys in a second. Many tears from young children. Love to chew shoes. Especially your best heels. Great companion though. Love kids.

My family breed Bernese. If you want to get a puppy, consult the Kennel Club in your country to get in touch with a reputable breeder to be sure that the puppy is not from a puppy farm and that it's wellbeing has been a priority. The puppy should be registered with the Kennel Club, microchipped, wormed & have it's required vaccinations. Having grown up with Bernese I can't tell you enough how wonderful they are, so please be sure to buy your puppy from a breeder who isn't just after your money!

sweeeeet!!! my friend has a bernese named maggie. she is the biggest sweetie. when she was just a few months which is when most pups are nipping, my friend would bring her to this shopping center (where everyone goes after school) and he would just leave her with me and my friends and she would sleep in our labs and lick and never bite. she was the greatest!!!!!!!!!!!
