This game was awesome because for the time, the gameplay was fast, fast, fast with no flicker like "Speedball / Bill Lambier's Combat Basketball". And the souvenir airbrushed poster of Gorbachev in a hockey helmet? Priceless. I should still have mine somewhere. :D BREADBOX APPROVED

the color difference with the jerseys (a deeper color) is to indicate which is the Center. No idea why they did that... This game looks like the C64 version of Nintendo's Ice Hockey from the same year ^_^

Blue and red can be controlled by human. Pink and light blue are always for computer (cpu). In this game I played for red. Blue was computer.

I used to absolutely LOVE this game!! And for the guy complaining about the graphics - first of all, this is a game from the 1980's, and second, graphics don't mean anything if the game in question sucks. I remember this game at least was really fun to play.

It looks like this was a little more true to the game than Blades of Steel or Ice Hockey. I noticed the winger waiting for the puck carrier to cross the blue line to stay onsides, I don't remember Blades of Steel calling offsides did it?

Now watching my son play NHL08 its amazing how far these games have come!
