Great footage...and I am fan of electronic ambient music, but of all caverns you could've done trippy music with and you picked the one with a custom stalacpipe organ! the organ sounds haunting and trippy enough! I know... *complain...complain*

MAGNIFICENTLY AWESOME!!! The BEST Luray Caverns video on You Tube, period! Eleven minutes of sheer wonder and beauty and hardly a single human presence can be seen (except for a brief sequence)! Jolene, you have captured the 'natural' ambience of the underground world perfectly! This is definitely worth watching for the techniques you used in filming it, and that incredible soundtrack! How in the world were you ever able to film as much as you did in such a way without human interference???

LOL! Don't get me started, Jolene. I joined the NSS (National Speleological Society) in 1961. I've been in caves that NO-ONE has ever seen. And I could probably write a book...

Luray is a spectacular cave, and the commercial section is well cared for. Some non-public parts are even more spectacular. Is the "stalacpipe organ" still operating? It's been years since I've been there, and it was an amazing instrument.

The "off the trail" areas are, unfortunately, off limits to the general public. And for good reason. They're pure, wild, untouched cave, as Ma Nature is constantly creating it. Adding trails, traffic, and trampling feet would destroy it. The commercial part IS essentially destroyed, since nature no longer controls it. It's just "well preserved."

I'm so glad to hear about the organ. It's ancient, and incredibly musical. I was STUNNED by what I heard played on it.
