HCBailly you can buy lard in general stores yeah. The only use I've ever had for it is to put on, say, roast beef before you cook it in the oven. It'll melt and absorb the beef juices. You can then use that fat to make thick beefy gravy! Mmmmmm!

I actually criticize the translators for making the names at least slightly more Englishy than the original katakana names suggest.

For example, Elena should actually be Irina (Russian), Elmira should be Ermina (Spanish, I think), and Zack should be Zax (or maybe Zacks or Zaks, and god only knows where they got this one). Also, Lucrecia should probably be Lucrezia (Italian).

Yes, something "like that" happened in real life. The Challenger exploded because they didn't inspect their gas tanks before taking off. It killed everyone on board. It was actually a huge tragedy that should never have happened. v.v

It was because the rings that connected parts of the tanks had been left out in the cold, and been through a freeze/thaw cycle that made them brittle. Weakened, they didn't hold together, leaks happened, and an explosion resulted.
