you know theirs no such thing as being tabled if you have nothing on the board and stuff in reserve your opponent just waits till they come in but if their not on by the end of the game you lose

I need some advice also, im planning on making a BA death company army and i've already got everyone i need but im going to buy a small bit at a time since money is very low. Anyways, Astorath for HQ, 3 squads of Death Comp. and a BAAL for ded-transport aswell as some support. Later ill fill in with a Gunship and two Furioso dreads aswell as brother corbulo, and 2 termy chaplains...is this good or should i just buy the 100 buck starter army for BA instead?

keep in mind if you wanna have a flexible squad with some heavy and random shiz in their, or maybe a tank buster squad maybe? that'd be good for you...i'd atleast put one squad in there. Worth the points, and cheap in $

They weren't really mistakes. Matt made it easy since that dude didn't know how to play blood angels well & tyranids could easily have beaten them if he gave more scything talons, rending claws & used some more skills like fell no pain on other units if he could've. He also made it on kill points so it was evenly matched.

This is what happens when you pick random units from a Tyranid codex without any kind of plan. Probably the most disappointing beat-matt-batrep yet because Tyranids can do so much better than this. No suspense whatsoever. Just a slow, painful beating.

Next time you decide to use "units that you don't usually see", try Venomthropes, one of the most underrated units in the entire codex.

Wait, at 10:20 did you take an armor save against a power weapon? Sanguinary Guard CCW's are only power weapons. However, I know next to nothing about tyranids, so 'stealers might have an invul. Anybody know?

I know this was just a fun game, but I like to learn tactics from these batreps. If you guys are just playing for fun with lists that are not really designed to win, I think they're kind of useless beyond looking at well painted miniatures.

MD, you know that the Stormraven hast a special rule for disembarking? Like a land raider. And tactial marines have bolt pistols, so they actually fire storm weapons. So, L2P yourself ;)

After disembarking a Stormraven the only thing u can do is shoot and then charge if the only weapons fired were assault weapons. Same goes for the cybot. The Stormraven moves, lets marines and cybot on the field, they move, shoot bolters AND charge. LOOL no wonder the Tyranids got their butt kicked.

Couldn' stand to watch any longer.....L2P!!!

Good game. Don't be shy with some of the high points cost models. i've been using Tigurius the Libararian in my Khan bike/assault marines list (due to rerolls for all my outflanking reserves), and he's almost 300 pts for a T4 model with no Invuln saves, but he seems to work great every game.

@ 3:26 how can he charge the white gaunt unit if he foced his dread's fire on the red gaunt unit? He can only charge the unit he fired at (the flamer being incidental that the white unit fell under it when he targeted the red...)

lesson of the day: dont reserve tyranids just get everything on the board and run them up and make soup with the enemy.

i found myself annoyed and irritated watching the blood angels win, i hate all space marines so i always support the opposing army to the space marines. hence why i was so pissed off when they won!

There's so many player mistakes and rules that you've missed that it actually makes it even more fun to watch. I find it quite interesting watching others play when no-one notice the errors. I might re-watch it all and note down everything I can spot. ;)

Grey Knights have silly fluff its a shame they didnt flush it out very well I agree. The GK rules may make them powerful in close combat, but they do have mediocre antitank, and their not as good at manouvering like Blood Angels, that makes BA too good at capping and contesting objectives, surviving incoming attacks and killing things. BA overrides all the typical limitations of being Space Marines, whilst being Space Marines.

Another mistake in here, if you have no models left on the table you don't automatically lose. It's a common misconception in 40K because if you wipe an opponent out then you automatically win the game. Any models in reserve can still come in later in the game even if you've nothing left on the table.

Those assault marines at 1:05 certainly have a very generous movement. I don't think half the squad could have cleared that movement, thus should be making some difficult terrain checks.

nice batrep, although a fair few mistakes were made. sanguin guard have 2 attacks each (3 on charge) with mastercrafted str 4 powerweapons. aka genestealers don't get saves. dante should go at the same time as stealers as he is I6 also with a mastercrafted powerweapon. but it was good to see a turn 3 table

:-( the blood angels Tac Squad can not make their normal move after they disembarked from a stormraven that moved while they were in it, but you were good in that they could still shoot and assault.
