Uh, if you were listening, which you obviously weren't, Mamet was quoting someone else, and he meant it figuratively. Does anyone know how to read, listen and think anymore?

Religious and political extremist? Just because he is a practicing Jew and saw the true light by correctly converting from liberalism to conservatism, which is typically what most mature and intelligent people do when they get money, and a clue. Because of that he's an extremist? What an ass hat you are! If anything, your words are the words of an extremist person - who who pegs everyone with differing viewpoints on politics and religion an "extremist." Get a clue!

He was already becoming a Religious and political extremist at this point, so nothing Mamet says anymore surprises me.
Still, good movie.
I really hope his perverse, unbalanced politics doesn't despoil his art now. . .
