  • Oh yeah ..saw James and the Boys , at the Hollywood Bowl ..they brought the place down..

    Very Kool...thx

  • this is what a cover should be - he makes it his own but at the same time retains the sensuality and vocal range which makes the original so awesome.

  • I love how he doesn't try to do a note for note interpretation of this classic. He sounds like he is quite the Billy Stewart fan as well as a Jackie Wilson fan with the tongue trills. I would never have thought to put that in...I like his energy!!

  • You guys have now added a chuckle to my already considerable enjoyment of said BRRRRPPS in this performance.

  • @essexperson shut it

  • still shit i really dont care what you have to say and once again what is that fucking BBBUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRH shit that is so fucking annoying

  • @eeeewd33 I'd give up if I were you..

  • @essexperson

what a lively exchange of views!

  • @eeewd33, With an artist that has the goods, like James Hunter, I'd rather hear a spirited stripped down cover that captures the spirit of the original than some rote recreation. Michael Bolton singing Percy Sledge, that's butchery, not this. To each his own but I dig the scat shouts and trills. If you were in the club where this went down and weren't digging it there, I'd wager you weren't going to get laid.

  • i mean its talented but it completely butchers jackie wilsons i mean its cool you want to pay respect but when you change the way its really sung its just stupid and QUIT WITH THAT BBBBBEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHH shit you keep doing that, its stupid as fuck

  • @eeeewd33 Really sung? Instead of acting like a butthurt Wilson pseudo-purist, how about you let the guy interpret the song however he wants? There's nothing more lame than a tribute that's just another carbon copy of the original song. Oh no wait there is; going around the internet whining about "butchering" , in the context of music that eons beyond what you ever could bring to the table yourself, is even more lame....

  • Shag your ass off Carolinians!!

  • check the drummers face... hahaha

  • fantastic song and video.

    Love it! Excellent.

  • Just to add more languages: Eso es estilo, eso es voz, eso es musica! Increible! Un jodio crack...

  • James is fantastic. Don't write off Huey till you hear his version of feelin alright...

  • @h0tguitar

HUEY LEWIS? Youre tossing HUEY LEWIS into the mix of Otis Redding, Sam Cooke and Nat King Cole?

DUDE, you need to get BACK TO FUTURE!

  • jesus christ...the voice and the dude don't match...

  • Hunter is a treasure!

  • It's good to know this is not forgotten. Like the new treatment.

  • Egyszerüen imádom! :))) Ich liebe ihn! :))

  • BRILLIANT!!!!!!!

  • ok.. just an opinion.. he ruined it with the brrrrrrrrrrrrr little too much ..... huey lewis in duets still number 2

  • the "brrrrrr"'s are just a fond reference to jackie wilson, who is plainly a huge influence on Hunters work.

Not sure what Huey Lewis has to do with it, but James Hunter is in a totally different league, naturally.

  • funny you should mention huey lewis..

i thought james sounded very much like huey in his early days as howlin' wilf..

even played great harmonica like huey..

i wonder why he dosen't use it anymore..

i'm a big james hunter fan but don't diss huey...he rocks too!

  • You Sir..are a complete DILL WEED! ARE YOU CRAZY!!

I just wish he would cover WORKOUT by J. Wilson... Then I would follow him like a lil groupie.. haha

Huey Lewis!! PLEASE, get a life..

  • HAHAHAHAHA!!! Huey,,,,hahaha,,,Lewis,,,,OMG!! your serious, I mean really? My friend, you need to really educate yourself on what good music is, I feel very bad for you.

  • wunderbar! :D

  • seen mr hunter several times, playing acoustic, to about 50 people. Even changed a string in the middle of a song without stopping. He's brilliant. An amazing vocalist, and a fantastic guitarist. But most of all, a flippin' nice, down to earth bloke. True talent like his is so rare.

  • my pillow is soakin wet....

    all those tears tears tears...

    lonley teardrops....

  • Well done Neil, still performing well!

  • Just saw him live in chicago June 30. Amazing live show..one of best this 40 year vet of rock/r&b/roots shows has ever seen

  • more than one,

  • Still doesn't come close to Jackie Wilson!!!!

  • no body said he did ;this guy is his own man, like jackie wilson was his ;there will never be another jackie wilson, just hope james gets the recognition he deserves ,maybe there similar in that respect ,both are unbeliverbly talents ,jackie wilson should have had a lot more reconigtion than what he got ,,.to james team make sure this boy gets it.dont know who is picking james singles in states ,but its obvious that just cant win & talking about my love should be double A side single , moggy1961

  • I think the phrase 'GET A LIFE' springs to mind!!!

  • how nice

  • we aim to please!

  • It's not a competition. I just saw him for the first time tonight. Hunter delivers in the Wilson dept. I was pleasantly surprised. I was a teen in the original Wilson wave. He ended his career in my teen locale, Medford Lakes, N.J.

  • i hope this is part of live set up,when in sheffield, hint hint james ,moggy61 ps i think you will improve this song even more, dont know how,go for it james

  • Just say now brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :D

  • An amazing video Thank you!!

  • What a voice ! Awsome
