Leeeeeet's face it: 8 didn't really count. He dressed like a dandy said STUPID things like the aforementioned, and he was only around for an hour and managed to completely destroyed SEVERAL laws of space-time physics (such as going back on his own timeline for purposes besides cheap tricks).

Or we can write it off as 8 being disoriented from regeneration and somehow... knowing... about 10.5 ... but I like my first explanation better :)

I don't care how many people saw a profit in turning Paul McGann into an icon and made book/audio series out of him--the Doctor Who movie was complete crap as far as the Whoniverse is concerned (for example: him saying he's half-human on his mother's side caused NO END of strife for future writers who have subsequently decided to simply ignore the statement altogether because it's utterly stupid and against everything else that was written about the Doctor). I still say McGann *doesn't* count!

Indeed! That's why I like human Doctor. He is the same man, but more of the man Rose actually loved, for when he was all happy and cheerful. A mix of Nine and Ten with a bit of Donna - what could be better for poor Tyler.

I agree with you, Catherine Tate is a very good actress. She wasn't 'playing Catherine Tate', she was playing the kind of person she's good at. What's wrong with that? I'm going to miss her on Doctor Who because it was nice to have such a different character for a change.
