Very interesting video you have made here, my first surprise was seeing the electricity still on, second was seeing files still laying around, I would of thought someone would be liable for all that stuff, having personal records laying around for everyone to see, very strange indeed. I would not pick up that syringe. They tested polio here and the hospital was open for decades, that could be anything from urine to stomach bile. >.<
I went there today, literally the ONLY door not completely boarded up was the main auditorium. We went in there, it was freezing inside, and we were standing on thousands of syringes and blood samples. We explored most of the site and then ended up getting caught by the cops. They made us put our hands on the hood of their car and took our names and told us if we showed up again they would arrest us.. It was really creepy though. I also felt an odd presence.

Place is a bunch of hype. It looked like any normal abandoned complex at one time. Then people broke in and started tearing shit apart, throwing files everywhere, smashing office equipment, breaking test-tubes and graffiti. Sure the hundreds of feral cats living in and around the complex also helped to cast a dark shadow on the place as well, not that an abandoned mental hospital needs any help in that respect.
Take away all of that and you lose the creepy factor.
It's too habited to find this asylum scary. Isn't downey CA right in the los angeles area? Lots of people are probably there every year. I even seen a v8 splash bottle in the bathroom sink on the previous video.
If there is power on that may suggest that someone is renting a small portion of the place for storage or factory. That large transformer is likely used to distribute 3-phase energy for specialized equipment, but who knows :/ The printer in that one office looks like an IBM from around 1980, damn good printer :) fan cooled even haha.

Thats pretty much what happened. Those old asylum's were closed down around the late 70's. A few are still in operation, but most were closed down and worker's just left. They had no reason to clean anything up as these places were operated by the state's that they were in.
isnt this place like rite behind downey studios? ma friends mom drove like rite next to it. isnt there like sorta like a castle in the front of the driveway?
Regardless of any of this though,there is potential for health risk. The place is perfect for possums,rats,bats,raccoons (Rabies) as well the place is trashed so injury could occur rather easily. Broke glass everywhere,busted things, cuts (tetnus). All and all just watch what you are doing and you'll have a pretty good time injury free. Unlikely but beware of cops.
my dads friend went in there when he was a kid and when they left one of his friends died about 2 hours later. other one got sick. but my friends dad didnt get anything. makes you wonder what kinda stuff they have

lipo is when they suck all the fat out all from ur body. they punch a hole in ur body and stick a tube in it and ram it in and out fast like stabbing. its weird they have that there....

sorry for the long wait to reply about the asylum in downey. well its was scary. first time there so i was unfamiliar (is that right) with the place. darkdark as fuck. BE VVVVERRY CAREFUL KUZ AT NIGHT MANY POLICE UP AND DOWN PATROLING.

u have to be quick. when we were walking around the police let us for some reason i dont know why. but the second time we went we were kicked out FASt but a dick ass cop. we had abnormal shit come out in the pics we took. we heard a door closed but we were all together.

im sure that if the lights are still on in one section, then all they would have to do is flip a switch on the wall in the other rooms... or maybe a breaker tripped... either way, the place still has electricty. helps save needed battery power for the flashlights!

Thats pretty much what happened. Those old asylum's were closed down around the late 70's. A few are still in operation, but most were closed down and worker's just left. They had no reason to clean anything up as these places were operated by the state's that they were in.

Regardless of any of this though,there is potential for health risk. The place is perfect for possums,rats,bats,raccoons (Rabies) as well the place is trashed so injury could occur rather easily. Broke glass everywhere,busted things, cuts (tetnus). All and all just watch what you are doing and you'll have a pretty good time injury free. Unlikely but beware of cops.

my dads friend went in there when he was a kid and when they left one of his friends died about 2 hours later. other one got sick. but my friends dad didnt get anything. makes you wonder what kinda stuff they have
