If you actually watch this film its clear that it is being made as a serious Sci-fi fantasy movie. I agree with many fans who see Frank Langella's performance as key to seeing this underappreciated movie as a truly entertaining part of the He-Man canon.
I love the image of Skeletor addressing all of Eternia as He-man stands defiantely in front of him. If they using nothing from this film in the new one being planned, I'd love for them to use this scene. In a pretty bland movie, this scene to me, stands out.
Frank Llangella's performance is undoubtedly the saving grace of this movie; he simply oozes uber-malevolence. Shame that the rest of the movie doesn't warrant such polished talent.
Skeletor rocks! he made the movie. every scene with him is classic. frank langella gave a incredible performance
this scene is powerful it gave me chills you dont screw around with skeletor. its still one of my favorite scenes...
on a side note, when they start pre- production on the film the first avenger: captain america (cant wait for this!) they should check out the skeletor make up as a guide for designing The Red Skull's menaceing look.
If I were Skeletor I would have left He-man be until after I attained the Power's of Grey Skull and completely drained the Sorceress then killed him!

Awesomeness at 0:32 when Skeletor’s image inverts to reveal a skull with no eye sockets.

by dolph lundgren standing infront of
a blank screen and skeletors decrea
was filmed seperatly and was added
later in post production and all the effects
was concieved by richard edlund who
did effects for ghostbusters and
many other movies and he still works today in movies as effects supervisor.

I reckon that is one of the best parts of the whole movie. Master's of the Universe is definately one of the most under-rated movies ever.

When they show He-Man standing in front of Skeletor's face, is that not the tizziteness?

whats tizziteness means?

They don't make villains like him anymore. "Those who do not pledge themselves to me shall be destroyed!" Awesome!
