Yea, that's gotta be what it is, because I can't think of one single guitar EVER made (intentionally that is) where the fret dots don't start on the third fret. Note that his *Capo (corrected spelling from previous comment) is not on a dotted fret.

heheh i noticed that too indeed :P i was trying this song and he said capo on 3rd and immediatly i looked at my capo on my 3rd fret just to make sure it was on a dot XD

Maybe he doesn't have tabs *gasp*, maybe he figured it out himself. I don't understand how you can't watch this and figure it out, he tells exactly how to play it, almost to a ridiculous extent. I guess if you've never ever played guitar before, in which case you shouldn't start with this song.

maybe it's my imagination, but isn't your capo on the FOURTH fret?

maybe youre just a moron but his guitars tuned a half step down.. so if you're playing using standard tuning you would use capo THIRD fret like stated
