wow that was so cool!! i have been a baton twirler for three years now, and i this year i was my school's first majorette along w/ my friend chelsea lee. next year we r hoping to twirl fire!! i got a fire baton for christmas and i can just do basic twirls and one turns right now, so if anyone has any advice please seend it!!
heyy i've been twirling for 4 years...u said if anyone has any advise to tell u..but when ur doin fire batons only start out with the basics until u know wat tricks u can do with out burnin urself then u can start with the toss illusions with the fire... i just caught my 5 turn and i just turned 13....i twirl WTA competitivly in michigan/ohio
Midgie93:: it depends on the combination that you use on your fire batons. Colman's lighter fluid that you find the in camping section burns cooler ( and longer) than kerosine or gasoline -
quit dropping it girl! you'll set the ground on fire! lol, amazing job tho!

Ooooh, they used to twirl fire at my school!
I've been twirling for six years and I just got on the freshman line, but sadly our school is getting rid of the fire batons:(

I used to twirl fire in high school and have never had a problem with my clothes catching on fire. We just never had any hair on our arms. LOL!

clothes wouldnt catch on fire b/c there is a special oil base of the ends of the baton...
i know cuz im a twirler myself
