JFK was not perfect, he was no saint but he was a champion of the people & he tried his best for his country. He done some very good things and with his mistakes did learn from them and tried to correct them. He did not deserve such a brutal and tragic fate.

The Civil Rights bill was passed by LBJ but he only finalized it. The proposal and promoting was done by JFK's administration.

Preventing the Cuban Missile crisis from turning to war was not an insignificant event either.... nor was proliferating the space race.
