i bought 6months ago and suddenly i could not see any other channels except ABC (channel 2). I try to rescan all channels but no success. I am looking to get the new tuner but no one sale it separately.
Well I bought a tvix 6600N, and I returned that piece of shit back 6hours later.
This product is absolutely crap. The software has beta quality, definitely not commercial status. Do tvix even care to test the product before launching into the market? The remote is also shit, half of the buttons don't work.
And yes ... I upgraded it with the latest greatest that was available on TVIX website.
I would highly advice everyone NOT to buy the crappy product. I'll continue to use my PS3@100W
A joke? - the PS3 uses over 100W, and the Tvix about 10W. I also own a PS3, but there is no sense fireing up a nuclear power plant to make a cup of coffee. Also, it can play more formats than the PS3 can.
i own the old DVICO TVIX 4100SH and i see no reason to upgrade. It still plays flawlessly everything i throw a it.
this one plays more formats and has a more recent chip
I like dvico players, i don't have any complaints after i upgraded mine to latest firmware ( i only play mkv and iso dvd )... i don't play mp3 on it...
as long as its SATA, you can throw in any size... on my 4100SH, i recently upgraded from a 500GB Western Digital HDD to 2TB Western Digital HDD... no problems found

only 256mb ram? does it play slowly 1080p mkv?

@Strife84 I have one and 1080p MKVs seems to play just fine, even while the unit is recording HDTV at the same time (using the optional DVB-T tuner).

PS To all TVIX suckers out there.... There is something DLNA what works absolutely perfect. Much better than the Korean TVIX bullshit.

@carbonoxx: That requires a standalone computer to run PS3 media server anyhow. Which is what the TViX is, only smaller.

@nism2006
If you kept it long enough to know, you would have known there was a version update that fixed the problems.

If you read my first post, you can see that I updated the 6600N with the latest formware.

25sec boot-up WTF. My Ps3 boots in less than 10sec. Works absolutely perfect to play movies.
