  • Thanks for Sharing. ASE'

  • Beautiful.

  • Im going to catch a catepillar... Cuz im planning this since yesterday

  • theyre sooo cuteee ^3^

  • Thank you for posting this :) I just showed my 1yr old and 3yr old and it was great to be able to show them how a caterpillar turns into a butterfly

  • I love this vid. really great example of complete metamorphosis.

  • if you love something, set it free, if it loves you back, it will return

  • did it lose its head?:D

  • Nice video and music! :P

  • Pammm pammm pam-pam-pam :DDDDDDDDDDD

  • The last ones will be the first ones. The first ones will be the last ones.

  • it looks likes it's constapated.

  • @1WarriorofFreedom And proof that evolution is beautiful.

  • @bargoth125 how could it be evolution? :DD evolution in few days? :D

  • @MultiGakka Evolution doesn't just account for "humans came from monkeys". That would be a huge oversimplification. Evolution comes in many forms ranging from genetic to cultural, and is still one of the great mysteries of life.

  • @1WarriorofFreedom don't use logic and common sense...you'll anger right wingers LOL

  • wat was that that fell on the groud at 1:18

  • @LMMFAO4R This. I was wondering the same thing.

  • 5minutes after she left you, she got eaten by a hawk. end of story

  • fuck dats sik

  • you have an ugly backyard

  • did it ever fly away?

  • this is AMAZING!!!!

How Amazing it is, for a simple insect transforming into a beautiful butterfly?!

Nature really is wonderful. And i love this video. Thank you for uploading. The ending is jus1 awesome

  • This wonderful process is used to symbolize positive change and freedom. It is beautiful.

  • amazing

  • its like putting on a tight condom

  • cool vid but the music is a little creepy

  • Dancelnightbabe, the reason it habngs on to the chrysalis (Not coccon, something entirely different ), is that it has to pump its wings with haemolymph to enlarge them to normal size, but also to harden them, which it does by hanging its wings out to dry in the warm sunshine, and harden off. The girl did wrong bu pushing it off of her finger without making sure it had had long enough to dry them out.

  • this is remarkable... and beautiful

I have a question... after it came out of the cocoon, i realized it got bigger. Do you know why it "attaches" itself to the cocoon after it comes out (i don't know the timespan of when it came out of and when you took it out)? It seemed so attached.

    again, it's beautiful... lovely

  • Wow... just wow

  • That was deep how u set that butterfly free.

  • nice vid =)

  • this video touched me. i liked it. this song reminds of when i was a young school boy who played with horses and taught them to eat carrots. the butterfly represents a time i saw my kitten meow at an old tree. in other words...this videos gay

  • Amazing video! I just watched it with my 4 year old son and we were BOTH fascinated! Thank you for making this! :)

  • @nikilooloo i just watched it wil my 3 year old becaus ewe just saw a caterpillar and put it in a shoe box..now he is exacted after seeing this video

  • great video my 4 year old daughter loved it

  • it's head comes off at at 1:18

  • caterpillars/butterflies are the most interesting creatures ever.

  • HEY!!! I REALLY WANT TO THANK YOU FOR UPLOAD THIS VIDEO.

I AM A PRIMARY ENGLISH TEACHER AND MY STUDENTS ARE LEARNING ABOUT CHANGES. THIS VIDEO IS PERFECT TO SHOW MY STUDENTS HOW DO ANIMALS CHANGE.

    A LOT OF THANKS!!!!!!!

  • Thank you for this educational video.

  • How could eight people possibly dislike this video? They must have also uploaded a similar video and want to get more views.

  • "Evolution is clearly nonsense because there is no evidence that one type of creature can change into another one". A Creationist.

  • @vapourmile "But that's microevolution, not macroevolution. I read a book where biologist with a PhD said there is no evidence in the fossil record. Science is on my side, lol."

    *facepalm*

  • @MyTemporaryAccount88 No it isn't. You don't need to look at the fossil record to find evidence which supports evolutionary theory: You can prove it long before you start to sorry about what fossils look like. Claiming to have "read a book which says" is meaningless. I read a book by a God with a doctorate in everything who says you're an idiot. Oops... did I lie? Funny how people will lie to lend credibility to their opinion isn't it? A bit like people who claim to know God are lying to you.

  • @vapourmile Reread my comment, notice the "" and focus on the very last part of it ;)

  • @vapourmile If metamorphosis is proof of Evolution, does that mean engineering is proof of Creation?

  • Comment removed

  • @RocknForJesus Absolutely not. First of all, the factuality of the first clause does Not imply the second clause. In other words, the didactic chain of reason you are suggesting with this rhetorical question is a fallacious one. And here, simply is why: The first clause implies change, the second, creation. The first is true: Things do change, we change, reality and perception also change. The second is false, because we are not created and we cannot create: It's the first law of thermodynamics.

  • @RocknForJesus Many scientific theories are just that, even Darwin's theory of Evolution is so called for a reason, today though, scientists are so certain that this is how things happened there is a movement to uprate the theory to a principle. Science values truth since it is the whole point for which science was born. Scienist's are Very careful that they don't claim something to be true when they are not absolutely certain, eg Einstein's relativity theory just that, a theory...

  • @vapourmile Stupidity only demands stupidity and I can't think of anythin dumber to answer your comment than: fuck you. because that is all you will understand. Like I always say: " some remain alive only because its the against the law to kill them.". No ethical qualms in removing you from the gene pool in my book. It scares me that you have chromosomes and "thoughts" to perpetuate....Please drink alot, do many drugs and just die.

  • @xanres2005 Well, I won't be following the advice of somebody who's shown no more intelligence than it takes to try to offend people over the internet, which certainly isn't putting you in any worthwhile class of wit. I'd be game for a reminder of what triggered the outburst though to see if there's any sense in it, or if you are just shouting your mouth off.

  • @vapourmile "Evolution isn't nonsense, but believing that something as beautiful and unique as the process in this video wasn't carefully imagined by a loving and thoughtful designer is." A Christian.

  • @MattyGreen1 Well, I think this is a nice idea, and when I'm strolling along the sand in a Mediterranean country wondering how all this stuff works so amazingly well and feels so awe inspiring to witness, it's very easy for me to understand how compelling a thought it is that this was all somehow designed by somebody. At the same time I am also aware of other equally plausible explanations for why things would seem this way.

  • @vapourmile As a friend of mine once said " I'm from the garden of eden not the zooilogical gardens " ;-)

  • amazing!

  • watch a bird flies by and snatches the butterfly off the tree

  • woooooooow this is so awesome, my husband found a cocon, we have it in here now, we think we have a silk moth, just by how it looks, with out my 2 cents he slit the cocoon, and it looks like a silk moth inside, hes all brown with a little piece of green on his head, its so awesome watching him squirm around..... my daughter wants to name him messy

  • @MyMeizitang lol thats funny MESSY hahaha

  • absolutley beautiful.thank you for sharing

  • wow amazing

  • Cool video, but it could have been better if we couldn't see the reflections of the two guys watching the cocoon-making phase.

  • Amazing Wonderful Creations Of The World!

Thank you For sharing your Beautiful Experience.

The bit when the butterfly is on your thumb

and sticks to you like a baby to its mother......

Immaculate finishing touch...... well done indeed!

Did you plan and do the "thumbs up" scene with the butterfly?

  • Bad music but cool video. Thumbs up.

  • @EpicSamz you are FUCKING RETARDED... deerhoof rules

  • @whitewalls1222 Kids.... why do you have to fight on a caterpillar-butterfly video? :DDD

  • This was a great video. My 3 year old watches it all the time, it's his favorite! Thank you.

  • amazing video

  • Nice video. You took care of it, then you let it free. :)

  • Beautiful work!!! I'm in the process of doing the same exact thing. I was SO relieved when I saw you not touch his wings, and even MORE relieved when I saw you let him go free. It's simply called 'life.' Bless your heart for caring enough, you did a FANTASIC job!

  • i reckon that would be painful... its like hes dying :( but butterflies r better than catterpillars neway lol soooo amazing how this happens!!

  • Wow!

  • you know i need to watch many videos about caterpillars beacause im taking care a caterpillar

  • Wow this is Beautiful thank you for sharing :-)

  • Showing this to my two grandsons in the morning!. Trying to explain this one can't realy put into words.

  • @AnimalsRightToDance i loved that too :)

  • @Danceallnightbabe oh you reminded me of this nice video that i watched months before. you must have read many comments until you reach mine!

  • i,m going to miss that little guy.

  • this song is soo perfect

  • just like your mother's pussy

  • OMG where the hell did that come from i didnt say anything bad too u so dont talk about me or my mother like that again

  • wow soo amazing how they turn from a caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly, sooo mysterious and amazing, i agree its like it evolved!!! the mysteries of what god has created

  • @crystal0angel

It's actually a very simple process, it just looks special because our human psychology does not allow us to imagine another way of growing up other than gradual metamorphosis rather than in a bundle like with the caterpillar.

  • Very neat video... thanks! My kids loved it!

  • if you love somthing set it free

  • fuck that, i love my girl, I'll marry her, not let her go

    dumbass

  • no need to call me a dumbass

  • and if she loves you,she will come back.

  • lol reminds me of pokemon

  • Ohhh! That's so mesmerizing. The ending was very sweet.

  • wonder what happens inside the cocoon heh

  • i always wondered that too, they turn into white dust and then they reincarnate as a butterfly

  • thank you for the video.. my son loved it

  • amazing i was clenching the whole time tho nice song too wat fell off tho

  • how cool is this video, amazing....how long is it between making the chrysalis to turning into a butterfly? i have one in my garden that attached it self to the underneath of my daughters push along truck thing.....been three days half way out...i think it's died though :(

  • it may be dead, or it may just be taking awhile. the process takes days. keep an eye on it, but dont disturb it. thanks for the feedback!

  • @acethekitten what happens if you open the cacoon?

  • @acethekitten whats the name of the song!

  • @Hannah4148 about 1 to 2 weeks

  • @Hannah4148 I know this was posted a long time ago but the chrysalis stage takes about 9-14 days depending on the species.

  • That was fantastic my kids loved it thank you :)

  • bugs seriously freak me out. what was the little thing that fell off of it when it finished spinning its cocoon??

  • that is amazing! its like letting a baby go. its so sad

  • you're so sweet to release it back to the wild :)

  • My son Mason wanted to tell you thank you for posting this video. He is 3 years old and is learning about butterflies in school. Now he gets it......

  • awesome --- thank you!

  • what fell off when it was making its cacoon?

  • Comment removed

  • This is happening in my backyard right now. it is truly amazing. I can't say much for the once beautiful plant I used to have before they discovered it though. Oh well, worth it...so worth it. Beautiful Earth day Gift. Thank You Mother Nature!!

  • beautiful

  • "The caterpillar cannot understand the butterfly."

    - Timothy Leary

  • Wow!

  • This film is genius

  • cool. I was happy to watch your video. The music was perfect also! thank you. :-)

  • Truly amazing....

  • thats so beautiful!! i love how you released it at the end instead of keeping locked insie like most people

  • OMG THATS SO COOL its well weird how they change completely. they go from ugly to pretty.

can someone explain exactly how all this happens pls :)

  • omgg good jobbbbbb

  • nice "explanation" of the matamorphosis. Thank you

  • awesome!Keep it up!

  • how come its butt (or head) fell off when it was going into the chrsalis thing????

  • All the components of the outer skin are shed. Similar to a snake shedding its skin.

  • @acethekitten What an absolutely phenomenal video, ace. Thank you so much for posting. Absolutely beautiful. :-)

  • If you look closely, you'll see that the caterpillar is uncovering the chrysalis and not encasing itself in it.

  • cool vid

  • Lovely video - thanks.

  • thanks for this vid..

  • Outstanding speechless

  • thank you for that amazing footage, thank you very much holly age 4

  • I am yet to this day confused by the whole process. First, its a catepillar, it walks, and i guess it also does it on "legs" surrounding the body, then hangs it self from a web like material to finally peel out of the skin and to already be wrapped inside a cacoon. I just don't get it.

  • aww he\she landed on a Mimosa tree, a great place for a butterfly!

  • That caterpillar acted like it was in pain when it developed the chrysalis, then when its butt (or head?) fell off I was like "What!?" I came to the most likely false conclusion that caterpillars are all born with a parasite that turns into a butterfly. Probably not true, but OWWY.

  • Great video....

  • one of nature's most wonderful events

  • lol cool u should be proud

  • I remember a long time ag a kid in my 3rd grade class killed one of the butterflies we let go. Purpously.

  • That was amazing! My children and I loved it!

  • fascinating, thanks for posting the vid

  • Wow ! My 1st Time Seein Caterpillar Chging ! Great !

  • this is so cool. It was perfect to show my 3 year old daughter..she thought I was kidding about caterpillars turning into butterflies!!!!!

  • what's the name of that song, i really liked it and it fit perfectly with the video. 5 stars...

  • really great to watch thanks! :D

  • wait wtf, I thought they wrap themselves in the chrysalis. I didn't know they molt into one, cool.

  • i thought that too1 but a few years ago i read up on it. it is so weird isnt it?

  • yea so the ACTUAL butterfly is under the cocoon skin, which is under the caterpillar skin. the two skijs are under the firs skin since they are born1 its so werid that they develop two skins under theyre original .

  • Wow! VERY well done. Thanks. Including the release was a nice touch.

  • Cool! Thanks for speeding it up a bit!

  • pRAISE THE LORD GOD WHO MADE ALL AMEN

  • cool!and interesting

  • his head fell off so i gues he doesnt know its dark in there

  • you and phudao41 are funny!!! LOL :D
