Well im 12 now but to tell the truth Kings island has gotten more exciting along with rolller coasters but I wish their were still moderate ones like TDSD atleast we still other classics
The King Cobra's last year was my very first big rollercoaster. How dare they get rid of the Ghoster Coaster, it was a GREAT kid's ride, I loved it and I think it should've stayed to open it to the younger generation today.
I remember camping at King's Island JellyStone Camp Ground as a little kid in the early to mid 80's. I remember you could see the Screamin Deamon from the camp ground. I loved riding it, and I loved JellyStone Camp Ground. Of course they had to remove the camp ground so they could build a $250.00 a night Great Wolf Lodge.
@planblover1 the bat was free swing and that made it hard on like the wheels so they were replaceing wheels like weekly. flight deck is not free swing they control the swing all throughout the ride.
I only got to ride The Bat once..The Screamin' Demon was the first looping coaster I ever rode..but I really miss King Cobra. Great rides, thanx for posting.
I'm a big fan of King's Island and I've been going there since they opened when I was just 7 years old. It was nice seeing pix of the old coasters and remembering them. But I can understand them taking certain ones down - Cobra was great but too short. Screamin Demon wasn't all that great and it was short. I didn't ride the kiddy coaster but it was a very short ride. I remember the Bat and it was okay but not great. Nothing tops Diamondback IMO. Can't wait for Windseeker.
I rode screamin demon after it was moved to candem park, and renamed thunder bolt express, the first loop coaster i ever rode. but they took it down in 2004.
Sadly, I didn't get to ride either coaster. I missed getting a chance to ride Screamin Demon at Camden by one day. Yes, by a single day. It shut down for good the day before I was there.
I did ride King Cobra quite a bit when it was around but only rode it once or twice during it's last year.
what was the king cobra taken out 4
