SWEET COMP RON!! Your last workouts told me you would be in the running! See, some time off and recuperation does wonders! Now, take a week off from that comp and recover! Very proud of you my man!
When I first saw it, it looked like you were being interviewed by actor Rob Schneider. But two or three seconds in I realized it wasn't. HAHA. But, that aside... congrats, Ron! I've always admired your determination and will power when it came to your workouts in your videos. Just goes to show that we can accomplish great things in our lives if we focus and try hard! Congrats!
@roscolane Thanks Rosco! He does look a little like Rob Schneider. Some of his commentary sounded like somethings Schneider would say... "Now this guy here is lifting 500 pounds, which happens the be the weight of my ex wife..." It was a lot of fun.
Great Job! But, you're too skinny man. Looking good but, you know you need weight to lift.
You know you have potential and dedication. I can see it in your eyes. Don't let those petty pussies mislead you about testosterone supplements. You only have one life, and you have the time, dedicated and will. Don't pass up experiencing a level of life only a few have reached because of this "natural" "no drug" propaganda.
At your age, it's the perfect time. Take it slow & peak at your 40s like coleman
@opensourceplz This is something I fight with every day. My body weight fluctuates a lot, usually between 280 and 230. I wholeheartedly believe that mass moves mass but... At last year's Hyde Park games I weighed 275, benched 385 and pulled 650, this year I weighed 235, benched 370 and pulled 630. It's decent progress.
I was in the bottom of the pack of lightweights by body weight for this comp, and really probably came in too light (225) in the 231 and under class.
@opensourceplz I'll be going to nationals in the same class, so I have to maintain this weight for a few months. Also, there's a new fitness standard that says I have to have a 39" waist, anything bigger is an automatic failure. I think I could be a solid 255, 260 and still meet the waist requirement.
I guess it'll all depend on how my next few comps, and my fitness test go.
I do miss being a mass monster that would use 500 in Dead for a warm-up, rather than an accomplishment.
@opensourceplz "Mass moves Mass" and "no drug, natural propaganda"?! If I have to read one more comment about how being a fat-slob on the gas is justified, I'm gonna gouge my eyeballs out with my thumbs.
