Hey AcisPrinssen, did you make it all the way to the Khunjerab Pass? I see only Karakul Lake.
I made it, but we had to take 2 Chinese soldiers along for the ride from Tashkurgan to the Pass. They only gave us 5 minutes at the pass.
We did it from kashgar, in one day. Started at 5 AM and made it back to Kashgar at 4:30 PM. We must have seen at least 100 minks maybe a mile before the Khunjerab Pass.
There are plan's in the pipeline to turn the Karakoram Highway into a motorway.This will connect china to pakistan's motorway network that is to be completed by 2025....i think
