KKK stands for Kataas-taasang,Kagalang-galangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan (Supreme and Venerable Society of the Children of the Nation).
It was used as the name of the society that was led by Filipino nationalists and revolutionaries like Andres Bonifacio during the Philippine Revolution from 1896 in the cry of Pugadlawin and ended after the Declaration of Philippine Independence of 1898in Kawit, Cavite.

Just curious. Is there a national amnesia among Filipinos? The "original pinoy national anthem" was not in tagalog or "pilipino." It was in Spanish.
Hmmm... Bakit kaya tinatatago ang katotohanan sa taong bayan...

The National Anthem was changed to Filipino when the Filipino Language was declared as the National language in 1935.
The Filipino Lyrics was declared as the official words of the anthem in 1956 under the Magsaysay Administration.
It was also changed to Filipino because the Philippines is now a Independent Nation, not a Spanish Colony.
Pero Hindi ito tinatago sa Taong Bayan.
The Lyrics was a poem first in Spanish, then it was considered as the national anthem in Aguinaldo's Presidency.

Bagama't ang inyong ginamit na Wika, ay Wikang Banyaga, alam kong iyon din ay sa kaalaman ng mga nakararaming Kababayan, o Manonood lamang na hindi nakauunawa ng ating Pambansang Wika..
