Absolutely. If the player is a girl, make him just say something. If it's a boy, make the guy move out of the way.

i'm will make it ask if your a boy or girl while having this hidden in there. if you lie no pokemon for you.

I want to hack Pokemon, but I'm not too sure where to begin. I've seen your videos and the ASM is easy to understand, but can I build a Pokemon game from scratch without screwing everything up? Deleting all the introductory scripts would only mess up the game.

There's no need to delete the beginning scripts. There's plenty of room to just leave them there. All you need to do is write what you want, and use that instead.

@foullump But what if I want to use an introduction that's different than the commercial Pokemon games? What if I want the game to skip the "go to your neighbor's house, then grab your first Pokemon" scene?
