I know it is only a film and fantasy story but no one would be grumpy to find out this cheerful generous man was their father. My father abandoned me at age 5 and i am now 65 and poor. He is still alive, 88, and does nothing for anyone, not me or the 3 daughters he went on to have with 2 other wives. But that is the past and if he showed up wanting to make up somehow and offered me a house and hopefully a job I would not sit peevish in the Limo.
