  • Listen to Jaco's notes from 4:53-5:25. He takes the groove into outer space.

  • @aakkoin The Chicken is not a tune from Jaco, it's tune from Alfred James Ellis...

  • Faddis is killing it on lead. That dude has chops of titanium.

  • I love the song, but wonder why jaco wrote so many references to the chicken..?

  • weird tension between soloers with toots there. Personally I'd rather just hear bob berg and randy trade but toots keeps trying to step in. D:

  • WHAT A BAND !!!!! With Toots Thielmans, harmonica; Othello Moleneaux, pans; Randy Brecker, trumpet; Peter Erskine, Drums.

  • @Skidhblanir

You just do not understand outside phrasing!

  • This song makes me explode of happyness.

  • @Skidhblanir dude get the fuck out of here

  • @Skidhblanir ? That trumpet player? You mean the legend that is randy Brecker?

  • Notice in respect to Joe Zawinul Jaco did not use a keyboard player! Does not make any difference in the harmonic content , he is sorley missed.-Fc

  • he's a genius

  • This song grooves/swings sooooo hard!!!!

  • PASTORIUS was a "big" no doubt, is incredibly how a electric bass player did so much and with a hight tasty and armonic sence in every tune !

There is light years in between him and the rest of the bass players.

i guess jeff Berlin also is in the same caliber than jaco.

    i m with u man !!

and also a big hug to all those bass players , have a sunburn jazz bass (not to copy the great jaco) just to give honor in his memory !!

cheers to all of them !!
