@xTropicalKissx When you ask about California getting hit by a tsunami real soon... I'm assuming you mean getting hit by an earthquake...? Either way.. I live here in southern California, and we are expecting an earthquake any time... Japan has a different fault system then California. It would most likely be an earthquake from under the mainland, not from under the ocean then causing a tsunami/tidal wave. I hope that made sense...

@marktakacs California has had several historical Tsunamis. The 1964 earthquake in Alaska hit it pretty hard. Geologically, off the coast of Oregon/Washington is the Juan de Fuca trench which can generate "Japan like" tsunamis. Hawaii also like to spall off huge chunks of itself which tend to make monster tsunamis. And all the normal pacific rim activity if lined up right can make some nastiness beyond the usual flip phone youtube fodder.

Have you been down there during high winds and rain? I know those times are rare but that's when it gets all foamy like this. I remember one night when the full moon was out plus it was windy, and the waves were crazy high...higher than this. This isn't very scary to me. That pier has been rebuilt recently and it is strong. That's why they call HB Surf City :)

for one tsunami waves do not have top spray white caps they are one huge sold wave what you are seeing there is wind whipped waves . fox news explained it fully earlier in the day when they where showing hawaiis coast line as the first surges came in this is not a tsunami at all

you know a tsunami doesnt have to be 30 meters high to class as a tsunami, aslong as there is a drawback then a serge however small be it a wave a couple of inches high, its calssed as a tsunami

It sucks because Ive been trying to wake my family and friends up for so long now. You and I both know that something big is coming.
