I think North of 60 was a brilliant show and translated both the political and personal struggles of our native communities. I am not native but grew up in a native community and love the show. It was a true Canadian series. I wish it would be remade as it was and still is my favourite show. Nowadays TV is reality so to speak lacking in so many ways. It would be nice if our younger people could experience shows like North of 60 where the true Canadians/Canadiens are depicted.
TeeVee was a crap actor who tried too hard- sounded overly Canadian. His ugly teeth drove me crazy -the fact he always had money for those trashy but expensive jackets yet would hand Berta $5 for child support made me hate his redskin ass. I find the show funny to watch as it's so typical of the Indians we end up getting down here in Montana. Lazy, bleeding the system, whining complaining losers with lice-herpes, they are criminals, don't take care of their kids-just a bunch of drunken bums.

"Eric" died, but the actor, John Oliver, did not. There's always this confusion because on the episode he dies there is an "In Memory Of" at the end, but it was not for the actor, but for someone else connected with the show.
North of 60 was a great show and CBC should re-make the show again and bring back some of the old actors and actresses. and and lol release a dvd box set of the show.
@airwolf2374 REMAKE the show? that would suck! i hate when movies are remade, they never get it right. I'd love to see a "continuation" though..based on the same townspeople...with only a few original characters..like....Bertha's baby and Sarah's baby's generation perhaps...that would be cool.

I think I understand the idea of this video. I'm aboriginal myself, and it's tough being aboriginal in Canada. That's why I left to live it the USA. No one's ever called me a useless wagon burner here. It's been good. I'll never go back to Canada.
@Zorica12 Thanks for the response. The type of attitude that the video portrays is prevalent on the prairies. I've never been to Toronto, but I hear it's very diverse. I've lived in America for 10 years now. I wonder if attitudes have changed? Who knows.... maybe it's time for a visit. I do miss home though.
