If you ever get the opportunity to go to Japan, if you stay in around (or generally anywhere near Tokyo) you HAVE TO make a day trip out to Kamakura. It's often refereed to as: 'Little Kyoto'. Very beautiful, lots to do there, and not to far.
@PrincessSinderella - yeah, this area is not so far from Yokosuka. That's where I am now living. From Kamakura, you need to take a small local train that goes to all the small stations which each have different temples etc. I think the Buddha etc is at a station called Hase - about 5mins from Kamakura. Luckily you don't need a car around this area :)
My husband just got orders for Yokosuka and we are moving there in 6 months. I cant wait!!! It look like this place is only about 45 minutes by train to get to from where we will be! I hope you can take the train and you dont have to have a car to get to this place and the budda! Its amazingly beautiful and we will have to go here!!! Are the photos from around the budda or are those gardens from a different part of Kamakura? Great video! : )
Enjoyed this very much--I was in Kamakura 2 years ago but only for 1 day. It was nice to feel like I was there again but seeing some different things too.
heh glad you enjoyed it :) Yeah Kamakura is a really lovely area. I am going to go back soon now that the weather is cooler, so I will get some more footage of the scenery etc. I just need to fix my camcorder so I can do some proper videos.

Love Kamakura.
Just spent a few days there (shot some video too).
Loveliest place in Japan by far.
Be well.

I was there last weekend. My favorite was the Hasedera temple. The golden kannon was beautiful.
