The funny thing about this movie is the alternate 1985 will be the real 2015 some parts of the country like Detroit and other towns are already like with all the foreclosures and towns having to let police officers go with no money to pay them and with the economy getting worse beyond repair we'll see.

I never understood the plot to this movie. His kids get arrested in the future so they traveled to the future to prevent it, since when do you travel to the future to prevent something from happening.

I think part 2 should have taken place entirely in the future. I would have added a twist like having Lea Thompson and Crispen Glover play Marty's kids in 2015 and basically have the entire movie revolve around Marty and Doc getting them out of whatever trouble they were in. Maybe when Doc visits 47 yr old marty, Lea & Crispen could steal the Delorean and crash it in the past. Doc could find the wreck and repair it then go back to '85 & get Marty...I don't know, something different lol.

@XanderPortable Apparently when Biff gave the book to himself and created the alternate timeline, he was supposed to be killed by Lorraine sometime in the 1990s (an event which only occurred in the alternate timeline), which is why he began to disappear when he returned to 2015 (notice how he's in pain when he steps out of the Delorean, that's because he's fading away). That was in one of the early drafts of the script, but didn't make it into the film.

Flying cars will never exist, and do you know why? Because if two flying cars got in an accident both of them would fall down and everybody in them would die! At least in car accidents on the ground there's some chance of surviving, but in the air they'd be screwed!

However, I would love to find out how Marty and Doc met, so I will see if a friend of mine has the DVD's and I will see how Marty and Doc met and know each other (especially since none of Marty's family ever talked about Doc and it looks like they don't know Doc and are not friends with him).

These "Back To The Future" movies are great. It's too bad it never showed how Marty and Doc met. I wonder whether Doc was a teacher at Marty's High School and he was Marty's favorite teacher and Marty was his favorite student (I guess Marty was going to major in science in college) where Doc is a retired teacher or has been fired from the school. If I were to take a guess, maybe Doc got fired since the principal Mr. Strickland got angry at Marty on the first film for hanging out with Doc.
