    Thank you kindly.

  • Well done...

  • Brain, I've been listening to Gordon Lightfoot sense I heard him do "Canadian Railroad Trilogy" on the live TV Canada Day in 1967. I've been hooked ever sense and I've never heard ANYONE do his songs as good as him, until now.

    You are excellent

  • @rbmeadows

Sorry I missed this, but thanks.

  • I am a very "picky" listener to cover tunes.....I gotta say this is being added to my favorites list. EXTREMELY well done, man....just simply amazing. I would pay to see you play live.....and I play in a band for a living...lol.

  • @drummerkid71

The are not just covers ,they are amazingly good.

  • Awesome! My fav Gord tune! He doesn't play it in concert. But I can easily accept "If You Could Read My Mind" as a substitute. With the death of Terry the other day, we are hoping the tour will continue and the touring will continue...but we all know the end is near. Thanks again. I am cludoc and I video Gord as often as I can. Good Luck and hit the road man!!!

  • @clubdoc

Very sad to hear of Terry's passing. Keep filming, and thanks.

  • @7761864 Who is Terry?

  • Are you famous?? If not, why not?

  • @holleann1

Hardly LOL. Half the time I don't even know who I am.

    Thank you though..

  • @7761864 My favorite Lightfoot song - one of the best original folk songs, Don't worry about "half the time I don't even know who I am." LOL funny comment. At least half the time you do tho'! That's even more time than one of our greatest icons, who rolled his way into NYC in 1961 with only the clothes on his back, a guitar and harmonica - "Blind Boy Grunt", "Lucky" Willbury, "zimmy", Bob Dylan, and so many other pseudonyms. I doubt that he ever knew who he was and is. Do any of us?

  • That is so beautiful, thanks for sharing. Love it!

  • This was totally awesome... you have an amazing voice! Cheers for sharing!

  • @hannahlily11

  • @claudetteloves

Thank you, it's one of my favorites too.

  • Stellar. Very Gordon-like!

  • Hmmm....suddenly I smell a campfire.....craving Lucky Lagers and burnt hot dogs....those were the days :)

  • @vrohlson

Ahhh, Lucky Lager puzzle tops! Now who can forget those.

    Thanks again for the comments.

  • haven't heard this in years, gave me chicken skin!!! (goose bumbs?) Very nice!!!

  • This is my absolute favourite Gordon Lightfoot song. You do a beautiful cover of this terribly sad song. Your vocals are so smooth, like GL. You are extremely talented.

Do you play out at folk clubs or hae a CD out?

  • This is my absolute favourite Gordon Lightfoot song and you do a beautiful cover, your voice is so soothing and you are extremely talented. Do you play out in folk clubs or have a CD?

  • Hi from Australia, this Guy is good !!!

  • Hey mate. I came across this canadian cover artist 002002jes. You've got to listen to him.

  • great stuff! it's like a combination of Gord and Stan Rogers (vocally)! 5 stars!

  • Thank you Sir.

  • Brian,,,, I am speechless on this tune. Absolutely grand.

  • Thanks Ray. It's one of the first I learned.

  • dam good cover brother, have been hunting chords for this for some time,. not well known in the west (alberta) but one of his least known and best songs, nice work and thanks for the chords...I keep sayin it...crazy times...thank god for the music...

  • I couldn't agree more.

    Thanks

  • Beautiful version....you've got talent. On Gordon's record, during the instrumental in the middle, the back-up singers....sounds like a men's chorus - do you know what they're saying....er, singing? It sounds like "I think of the day, I think of the day, I think of the day, I think of the day" etc, etc.

  • That's best cover I've heard of this song. The guitar work is fabulous!

  • Thank you kindly

  • Thanks for the kind words.

  • First Class Performance

    Thanks

  • This is arguably the very best track on Gord's "Summer Side of Life" album, recorded late '70 and early '71 here in Nashville.

You've done a fantastic job on it.

  • Wow! Very well done. Five stars!

  • very very beautifull!!!! I love this song very much!

  • Thanks. I appreciate it.

  • very nice. 5*

  • Thank you kindly.

  • My God! He sounds more Lightfoot than Gord!

  • I enjoyed this one a lot, Brian.

Beautiful G.L. song and you have done a wonderful cover. :) 5 stars

  • Nicely done, as always.

  • so beautiful..wonderful guitar fits perfectly to your smooth voice..simply wonderful

  • I love this song; I think the melody complements the lyric to perfection...and once again, you have done an outstanding cover.

  • Another gem, nicely done.
