While the original transmitted version was neither good or bad, this theme does somehow suit this programme. Alternate versions are sometimes a cool way to re-visit a classic as you can see with the alternate theme tune for "The Prisoner". I wish there was a full version for download.

idem. je m'en souvenais par coeur alors que je n'ai jamais revu cette série. J'adorais regarder ça pendant les vacances l'après midi sur antenne 2. C'était super. Retrospectivement je pense que la série s'inspirait un peu des films de James Bond de l'époque...

La chanson figure aussi dans le film d'horreur et d'aventures "L'invasion des piranhas" avec Lee Majors et James Franciscus, mais sans qu'elle soit créditée au générique. Donc impossible d'en connaitre l'auteur et le titre...

Oui, un 45t a été édité en 1979 lors de la sortie de la série. jamais vu nulle part. Il semblerait que ce soit introuvable !!! Mais pour de telles curiosités, la chasse est toujours ouverte !!!

Sur le générique de fin est crédité Oliver Onions (en fait deux frères très connus en italie où ils ont intérprété des génériques de séries pour enfants et des films de terence hill et Bud Spencer).

Oui!!!! Daniel Gall a définitivement apporté un plus au personnage (comme il l'a fait chaque fois qu'il a prété sa voix à un comédien : Actarus, Bill Bixby, Jerry Orbach...) C'est un monsieur très talentueux. Quant 0 ian Ogilvy, j'ai toujours trouvé sa prestation proche des romans de Charteris !!

Ive seen most of the repeats of this on men and motors and none of the episodes ive seen have never had this theme maybe ATV used the other theme when this was repeated who knows?

Hello! This theme was used in France and Italy, I had to wait for years before hearing the other one, thanks to a british friend!

I like this series perhaps because it was shot mainly in exterior (if we compare to the R.Moore sixties series), so we can see lots of locations and cars of those years..!

I agree. I spotted a hint of cheesy-like English in this specially made bilingual theme for the French dub of "Return of The Saint". Moreso in the 2nd verse.
