how are these made? one coil winding for the E, A and D string blade, and another winding for the G, B and high-E blade?

i have these pickups and they ARE great. i think they're the best single coil sound ever until i pick up my other strat that has a set of fralin's vintage hots in it. at that point i'm quickly reminded that the fralin vintage hots are his best model. lindy told me that the split blades were actually modeled after the vintage hots. he came really close. the most noticeable difference to me, between the two is that the split blades sound a bit "harder" in comparison to the vintage hots.

Get off this chinese shit, i have this squier classic vibe 60 I LOVE IT and it would be worthy of the change in pups . who gives a shit were its made this is a great guitar I would put it up against an american made any day . wait $349 compared to over priced $2000.00 your nuts off your ass. put those pups in any squier and you will have a screamer.

I wouldn't say the splits sound like a single, but IMO it sounds better than a single. Sure the highs dont pop at you like the a true single, but there is a thick creamy kind of tone that IMO is much modern sounding.

Of course those single replacements sound great too.

Split Blade sounds realy cool, however I really like the look of the original strat pickup. if you can make the same sounding pickup with the vintage look (with pole pieces) that's a real Bingo to me.
