it could be either a mechanical failure or something

it could been pilot error too but i doubt it, in airbus jets pilot errors as solved by the computer itself.

airbus is very safe im not sure how this could happen

R.I.P 228 people onboard and R.I.P the beautiful bird involved. Lightning could not have brough it down. Its so rare a plane even gets struck in the first place. My opinion is it broke up in mid air and fell into the Atlantic. All I can say is my heart goes to the families. R.I.P

Some of the people and debris have been found ontop of the sea, it is known that that day the a330 bound for charles de gaulle, crashed into the sea, lightening can not do that to a plane, it bounces off.

My heart goes to all those family and crew members that lost their lives in this horrific tragedy. It really bothers me, that they haven't found anything. Even though a lifejacket, a seat and a part of the plane were found, Brazil says it doesn't belong to Air France, so then who does it belong to? Was there another crash in the ocean we don't know about? So much delays, meantime wreckage can't stay afloat forever, the ocean has tides waves soon it will sink, and then they will be no trace. RIP

no, lightning doesn't bring down planes, there built to withstand it. It was most likely turbulence and electrical failures when they were guessed to go through a storm in the middle of the atlantic ocean.
